3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a medium copper with a slight head. The head goes quickly, with little lacing. The upfront is kind of sweet with some alchohol flavors. Not hoppy enough for me, although finishes clean and dry. More hops would have gave it better balance and I think an overall better beer. I will try again and hope for better results.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a nice copper colour with lots of white head and lacing, a nice looking beer. Malty aroma. Tastes of alcohol, bananas with a hop bitterness in the back ground. It’s ok, nothing to love nothing to hate.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber->snifter. Bright dark copper with small frothy offwhite head. Dusty hops, cardboard, caramel malt, hint of spice. Same, with more depth. Good, but not great.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle (Release 18 - 10.2% ABV, 2014) poured into a Belgian snifter. Pours an orange/light amber color with a finger of off-white head, fades into a bubbly ring around the glass. Aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, floral, pine, dank. Tasting notes of grapefruit and lemon/lime citrus fruit and peel, pine/resin, dank, onion/garlic, floral and piney hops. A little booze but nothing harsh. Juicy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Medium body with a semi-dry slightly warm finish.

Sweet, sweet, sweet. Awesome aroma, but very hoppy and kills me with its sweetness.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This beer is fantastic. The aroma is sweet and fruity. It has a rich auburn brown color. The taste isn’t over malty with a very nice balance of hops and fruit. Must try this beer.

Backlog - Bottle bought from Systembolaget. This is one of my absolute favourites, Avery knows their IIPA. Hoppy like hell without compromising on any malt-aromas. Top notch.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a bomber. Dark, coppery brown with a small off white head and a bit of lacing. Smells and tastes of hoppy grapefruit and a bit of lemon. Rate taste in that it is very hoppy AND very malty.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Moriartys. Mostly clear brown amber with a compact khaki head. Left an explosion of lace on the far side of the glass. A big caramel malt hop bomb. Huge resiny, earthy hops balanced with a strong vanilla malt backbone. Tangerine peels soaked in turpentine. Clear sugar toys with drying oaky tannins. Sulfured apricots. Plums and figs in thick honey. Varnish. Rich, complex flavors. Aroma is heady but the sip has such a sly spicy finish that the high ABV goes down extraordinarily well.

I often look forward to Maharajah time, but tonight it didn't hit the spot. More caramel than I recall and the hops expressed more onion than usual.
