sayravai (2993), Helsinki, Finland May 15, 2008 (Bottled) Almost clear amber with a small, bubbly head. Nicely aromatic, pine-hoppy nose with some alcoholic barley-wine feel. Flavor is strangely cinnamon-spicy, slightly stingy, not very hoppy, slightly smoother with yeast. Quite full-bodied with low carbonation. Not bad, but quite strange and slightly alcoholic.
Homer321 (17), Rockledge, Florida, USA Jul 15, 2008 bottled may 2007, so over a year old. still plenty of citrus and grapefruit hops in the nose. really good nose. slight smell of malt. appearance is a hazy light amber. flavor is goooood. nice balance of hops and malt. I would never guess this is over 100 IBU or 10%. VERY NICE.... MaltDawg (221), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jul 14, 2008 Bomber courtesy of Maniac. Big hop aroma of resiny citrusy hops with some nice carmelized malts and orange blossoms. Amber orange with small white head. Flavor of of piney citrusy hops with moderate hop bitterness and nice supporting pale malt sweetness.
Finish is relatively dry with oranges and hoppy bitterness. Nicely balanced and not overlly bitter. Alchohol is there but sneaky. Excellent beer. tuohyam (14), Enumclaw, Washington, USA Jul 13, 2008 The best IPA I’ve ever had. Great slightly fruity flavor that is extremely smooth. The Maharaja hits you really hard with taste, alcohol content, and price (sadly). Swalden_28 (508), McKinney, Texas, USA Jul 13, 2008 Bottle from Mr. G’s in Plano, TX.
Pours a nice clear amber with nice beige head. Aroma is very fruity. Flavor is a nice caramel malt with slight grapefruit tange, fruity, with nice hoppy bitter. Has a full body with medium carbonation.
