PSmith (35), Kennewick, Washington, USA Jun 28, 2007 A dark cherry brown with a very nice spicey aroma, maybe cinimon-sugar. Definately a favorite. Despite the high "octane" went down very well.

Brown with small head. Aroma of caramel and alcohol. Flavor is toffee, chocolate and alcohol. Some fruit notes. sebletitje (404), Tampa, Florida, USA Oct 12, 2008 Courtesy of Tony @ OTH.
Pours amber, white head.
Aroma good notes of licorice and candi sugar.
Taste, malty, grainy, lots of alcohol, and plenty of sugar. Dark fruits and spices. Pawola22 (101), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Oct 12, 2008 On tap at the flying saucer in KC. Pours an amberish color with a mostly clear body. A tad cloudy. Creamy off white head that lingers forever and stays very lacy. Sexy looking beer. The aroma is very sweet and malt based. Dark fruit candy smell, some corriander spices, and a very heavy molasses nose. Hints of hops and alcohol. Full bodied with an insane amount of chewy malts. Starts incredibly sweet, nutty, toffee then moves to a fruitiness mixed with the spice backing and sweet Belgian yeast. Finishes oh so slightly bitter with a warming honey taste. Has a good amount of carbonation, but a very flat feel if that makes any sense. Overall, its a quality beer, but not quite my cup of tea. The balance is nice, but I’m just not a big fan of the flavor. Rynoplasty (254), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 12, 2008 Pours amber with a small tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Taste is malty and sweet from the belgian candy sugar. Very good. Bhops (221), Dallas, Texas, USA Oct 11, 2008 Pours amber with moderate head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of yeast, hay, soil with some malty sweetness. Flavor is similar to aroma, with some honey, dark fruits, and some spice. Definitely some alcohol in there as well, but drinks pretty smooth. Decent beer.
