3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
The aroma is malty - caramel, slight hay; raisin, dates; slightly sweet aroma. Pours a cloudy caramel brown and virtually no head. The taste is bitter. The body is light to medium, the texture is light creamy with fizzy carbonation and the finish bitter and long. Overall a decent quad, expecting more I guess.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance was hazy golden brown with tiny creamy off white head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet sugars, complex malts, deep fruits ,hints of alcohol. Taste are fruits of date, fig, cherry, orange marmalade with Belgain sugars and warming alcohol. Palate was slick soft CO2 with full body, then average length fruity malty glorious finish. A wonderful American Quad, try it.

Super tasty but doesn’t own this class. This beer would compliment a lobster bisque or sage grilled halibut, beautifully. Will definitely drink this again, most assuredly alongside other quadrupels, for a true taste test.

22oz bottle old rating-Pours a cloudy amberish brown with a small head. Aroma of sugar, dried fruits, yeast, and caramel. Taste of the same with some toffee and a slight nut flavor. This full bodied brew is not too shabby.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle. Pours a cloudy reddish brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have a nice fruitiness favoring raisins and cherries, caramel, sweet candi sugar, pale malts, molasses, mild spices, and yeast. Medium to medium plus bodied, some viscosity to the mouth feel. Hides the alcohol pretty well, but not an elite abt/quad.

2002 Reverend on tap at Avery. Pours a fairly clear burnt copper with very fine khaki head, decent retention and almost no lacing. Aroma is sweet alcohol, toffee, caramel, sweet malt, and mildly fruity/yeasty. Flavor is sweet, caramel, toffee, with a sweet, mildly nutty finish. Enjoyed the aged version, though I think the salvation aged a bit better. Soft carbonation, medium body, smooth texture. Interesting and tasty.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Avery. 2002 aged. Poured a clear dark amber with a round white head. The aroma is rich toffee caramel and a little alcohol. The flavour is medium bitter with a toffee caramel semi sweet boozy palate. The alcohol doesn’t dominate and there is little liqourice. This has aged very well indeed.
