COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unlucky 13? If anything, 13 has been a lucky number and year for us! Here is our version of a Weizen Doppelbock, a very rarely brewed style marrying the complexities of two great German traditions, Weiss and Doppelbock. The aroma is dominated by fruity and spicy esters produced by the German Weiss yeast strain with a dry drinkability from the wheat malt. The flavor and color are dominated by the unique specialty grains that produce the Doppelbocks flavors of fresh baked bread, toffee and cocoa, and a dark-ruby red hue. Since goats have traditionally adorned Bock labels, we chose a Rocky Mountain Goat for this Rocky Mountain Bock. Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, malted wheat, imported German specialty grains and hops, and one unique German yeast.

Bottle. Very dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of dark fruit and spice. Both also in flavor along with roasted malt, chocolate and biscuit. Incredible mouthfeel; creamy and smooth with a wonderfully soft finish. Great, great beer. I only wish I had more. Much more.

Caramelly and chocolatey on the nose. Pours dark brown with a thin white head. Caramel and molasses dominate the flavor, its very smooth but i can taste the age in it.

Dark ruby with a firm off-white head. Complex aroma featuring figs and dates, licorice and molasses, and some bready munich maltiness. Sweet and fruity flavour, vineous and thick. Licorice and malt in a dry finish. The alcohol feeling falls somewhere between warming and burning. I suppose this is my first wheat wine

Pours with an ultra dark brown body accompanied by a largish, creamy, light brown head. Good lacing from the head. Aroma is metallicy, with vanilla, plum, rotten banana, and some brown sugar. Taste is burnt malts, some fruityness, spicines, and then a nutty after taste with some yeasty saltiness. Smooth mouthfeel.

[bottle] Pours cloudy brown with a very small tan head. Aroma is soy sauce, malt, bittersweet chocolate. Flavor is similar to the aroma. Nice, rich mouthfeel with the perfect amount of carbonation.

Pours a warm reddish clear brown black with a greyish tan head of small even bubbles. The nose is sweet and lightly alcoholic. A bit of roast, fruity esters. Dark malt character. A bit of chocolate, largely clean. Creamy full mouthfeel, rather pleasant. Rather substantial, not watery, nice and creamy. The flavor is in line with the nose. Big ass malt sweetness ala Avery. The alcohol is Avery also. A bit too sweet, but that’s not my main problem. Diacetyl. Creamy dark fruit, alcohol, fruity esters. This is really like a weizen bock on crack. The sweetness toned back and the alcohol reigned in and this could be a nice enough beer. A bit of banana, alcohol, and bread in the finish. Enjoyable enough, but I’m happy to split the bottle!
