COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unlucky 13? If anything, 13 has been a lucky number and year for us! Here is our version of a Weizen Doppelbock, a very rarely brewed style marrying the complexities of two great German traditions, Weiss and Doppelbock. The aroma is dominated by fruity and spicy esters produced by the German Weiss yeast strain with a dry drinkability from the wheat malt. The flavor and color are dominated by the unique specialty grains that produce the Doppelbocks flavors of fresh baked bread, toffee and cocoa, and a dark-ruby red hue. Since goats have traditionally adorned Bock labels, we chose a Rocky Mountain Goat for this Rocky Mountain Bock. Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, malted wheat, imported German specialty grains and hops, and one unique German yeast.

bottle. Pours a dark, rich red with a foamy tan head. Very sweet, creamy aroma rich of sweet fruit ala pears and grapes, breadiness. The flavor is rich of grapes, toffee, cherries, mild nutmeg, a bit of toast. Chocolate comes out in the finish. Great take on this style.

Cellared bottle from By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a murky brown-black body. Small almost non-existent beige head. Chocolate, nutty, gnarley, malty, spry nose. Big wheat flavor. Bright full mouthfeel. Thanks, Dave. ’Twas yummy.

Bottle: Clear dark brown pour with a tan head. Aroma of wheat bread, some chocolaty malts, and I picked up a little mint. Flavor was chocolate, a breadiness to it, some roasty notes as well, a little warming on the end. Pretty solid stuff.

Bottle shared by BgThang. Thanks Ken! Pours dark brown with a light beige head. Smell is sweet caramel and wheat. Taste is sweet, oxidized, perhaps and wheaty. Too sweet all around though, and I wasn’t a fan of this one.

Clear dark brown with nice dark tan head, fades to film over time. Huge banana up front, tone of roasted grain, caramel, residuel sugar, very faint alcohol. As it warms banana esters subside, and aroma is huge sweet malt. Flavor, again dominated by sweet malts. Caramel, brown sugar/mollasses, chocolate, roasted grain, prune, raisins. Man there is alot going on for sure. Some faint fruity esters come through in the middle, but hard to pinpoint. Aftertaste is very bready/doughy. Flavor is eerily similiar to an east coast brewers’ eisbock/winter wheat. Great thick oily mouthfeel. IMO a tad hot right now. Might impove with some time. Well done regardless.
