COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unlucky 13? If anything, 13 has been a lucky number and year for us! Here is our version of a Weizen Doppelbock, a very rarely brewed style marrying the complexities of two great German traditions, Weiss and Doppelbock. The aroma is dominated by fruity and spicy esters produced by the German Weiss yeast strain with a dry drinkability from the wheat malt. The flavor and color are dominated by the unique specialty grains that produce the Doppelbocks flavors of fresh baked bread, toffee and cocoa, and a dark-ruby red hue. Since goats have traditionally adorned Bock labels, we chose a Rocky Mountain Goat for this Rocky Mountain Bock. Peace to all and follow your dreams! Brewed with Rocky Mountain water, malted barley, malted wheat, imported German specialty grains and hops, and one unique German yeast.

[22oz Bomber - Johns Market] A deep brown color with a light head. A very deep spciy brew with a good malt flavor. The aroma was great and this was a very good drinking Weizen Bock. Deep in flavors and a good rich high alochol content.

22oz - Aroma of chewy fresh malts, molasses and hops. Pours ruby red with a big fluffy head and great lacing. Flavor is much stronger than the aroma. First molasses, toffee, and black licorice. Then alcohol. Finished by toasted malts and the lingering remains of the "first" flavors. Palate is snappy, sticky and a bit hot. Interesting and tasty. I think I should set one in the cellar to mellow the hotness.

22oz Scant, med., head over dark brown lager, ruby in the lite, but barely. Huge malty alco. nose. Taste is muddled :( while the yeast starts out strong, this dies quickly as this beer warms and breathes. Whats left is, as said, a bit too muddled w/ the malt and wheat. Enough w/ da hatin’ this, come though clear w/ notes of fresh banana bread; then as it warms the roast come in. Good, fuck it, maybe great... could be I just wasn’t in the mood for such at the time, need to try again.

Nice dark cherry mahogany color, cream colored small bubbled head, scent is alcohol, malt and fruit similar to a belgian almost, strong flavor with hints of plum, alcohol and chocolate. You know you are drinking a big beer.

CBF07 sample from 22 oz bottle. Pours amber brown. Aroma of malt and dried fruit, raisins. Flavour of malt and dried fruit, sweet and soft. Hops appear in the finish. Has a fullbodied feel without any real alcohol presence.

Poured deep brown with ruby highlights and a large tan head. Aroma was lightly toasted malt, molasses, alcohol, and spices. Flavor of molasses, roasted malt, spice and alcohol. Finishes with a nice dry warmth. Well blended, thoguh not overly complex. A solid beer, but not amazing. Would drink again, though.

Pours a very dark brown with a light tan head. A dark chocolately aroma with caramel in there as well, some roastiness. Nice sweetness. Don’t notice the alcohol much, but does warm.
