Re-named BA Meph Addict.
Our very own Parker, of the cartoon and cat loving variety, created this cult classic character back in our 17th season. Appearing in several episodes under another stage name that was deemed inappropriate, our executive producers and editors decided that a name change and further character development—a 4-month Hiatus in bourbon barrels—were necessary to satisfy our most ardent and demanding viewers.

Very dark oily brown, odd tanny lacing and a lean ringed tan head. Nose is boozy, coconut and full on bourbon liquory. Initial taste is gritty tobacco, firm sweetness. Carbonation is soft and then a real boozy burn on the mouthfeel. Finish is neat, clean terse boozy and lingers rich and tinny bitterness some were in there.

Sampled at GABF. In the tasting glass was near black with a tan head. Nose of chocolate and coffee and a ton on bourbon. Medium plus in body. The flavor is really rich and the bourbon is p;powerful but overall it works. .Finishes bitter and boozy. Great beer.

Bottled Oct. 28, 2014, drunk in May 2015. Boozy barleywine aroma. Flavor caramel, vanilla, oak. Hot, as I was told it would be. Coffee coming through very mildly for me. Nail polish remover. This beer is harsh. I just went 15 minutes without sipping it or even thinking much about it. Flavor and aroma more straight bourbon than bourbon barrel. Hint of chalky bitter chocolate. Surprised at how little coffee I taste. Flavor does mellow a bit as it warms.

From notes. 08/01. Batch 01. 12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988. The pour is a viscous oily black with a thin cap of dark khaki head and no lacing as it falls to a ring. The aroma is incredibly boozy. There is a lot of coffee and chocolate, but ultimately the booze dominates. There is a light roast, and I feel this might be a little warmer than recommended. Here we go. The flavor is really hot. There is a nice roasted coffee and a good chocolate malt that hold up well, but in the end, the booze just takes over a bit. Good, but I think this needs age to mellow out a bit. The mouth feel is thinner than I'd like, an has a nice carbonation. The aftertaste is lingeringly fly chocolate and coffee floating on a booze dominance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of bourbon, coffee, vanilla, molasses and sweet dark malts. The taste was similar to the aroma with more bourbon, coffee, dark malts and lots of nice sugary sweetness. Just plain good.
