Re-named BA Meph Addict.
Our very own Parker, of the cartoon and cat loving variety, created this cult classic character back in our 17th season. Appearing in several episodes under another stage name that was deemed inappropriate, our executive producers and editors decided that a name change and further character development—a 4-month Hiatus in bourbon barrels—were necessary to satisfy our most ardent and demanding viewers.

Bottle. Pours inky black, small brown head that dissipates fairly quickly leaving nice residual and good lacing. Aroma is pretty strong coffee, bourbon, vanilla, chocolate. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, rich, but hella boozy. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, hot and boozy. Too hot. Come on now.

Black with a good beige head. Aroma is coffee, oak, bourbon, dark fruit, hint of peppers. Full bodied, lightly syrupy mouthfeel, starts sweet with a roasty and warming booze finish. Taste is coffee, oak, dark chocolate, molasses, dark fruits, cocoa powder, bourbon.

Black obviously, very little foam. Sweet cherry Bourbon forward aroma, but also clear notes of char, maybe even a hint of smoke. Taste is hot, cherry, roast bitterness, wood, tears of orphaned children, definitely leaves a strong taste of Bourbon. Great stuff though.

Mocha with some light barrel. Huge, syrupy and thick. Bitter finish. I didn’t enjoy this as much as the others in this lineup. Some roast, coffee and chocolate. Bottle from U-Street liquor.

February 15, 2015 - bottle from Wine and Cheese. Dark pour with some tan head that faded quickly. Aroma was bourbon, coffee, vanilla, wood and chocolate. Taste was good, but the bourbon was a bit too much and overpowered the other flavors. Finish was boozy, dry and slightly bitter.

Bottle @ Travlr’s. deep brown with a small head. Nose of vanilla coffee. Strong boozy barrel that’s somehow not offensive. Hot brownie mix. Crazy hot, would do well to chill for a bit. Not bad.

Rich black color; Heavy creamy body; Aroma of smoky malt, oak, molasses, vanilla, bourbon, & licorice; Flavor of roasted sweet malt, caramel, molasses/syrup, rich dark chocolate, dark fruit, and coffee; Warm finish; Nicely balanced; Considering the alcohol it’s well hidden; Very good.

Not bad but too boozy and not well masked.
