On tap at extreme beer feat. Really potent coffee nose with bready malts and cocoa. Taste is very sweet and heavy coffee. Intense but pretty good.

From a tap at Ale Arsenal. The pour was black with a strong coffee aroma which the beer had also a big coffee taste and a thick body.* *Lost my notes for this beer today and tried to rate this beer soon as possible from memory.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2014 Tap at the Ale Arsenal 2nd Anniversary. Pour is opaque black, small tan head, creamy and long lasting, great lacing. Aroma is heavy coffee, mocha, not much room for anything else. Flavor is medium sweet, heavy coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, medium bitter, some acidity. Full body, rich and creamy, hot. Kinda too hot, but still worth the experience.

2012 15.4% abv. Black in color with a good amount of deep tan head, very good lacing and a thick collar. Aroma is deep malt, coffee, earthy woodiness and some bourbon. I would swear this is barrel aged. Maybe it is... Taste is that great malt up front, coffee and tobacco at the end with a aged hop flavor in the middle. Great thick mouthfeel, chewy almost. Low carbonation. Great coffee stout, but I feel like the coffee was a bit too much of the focus.

Tap. Pitch black pour with a thin mocha head. Vanilla, American oak, coffee, whiskey. Tannin, creamy body with bitter finish. Wow. Powerful

Draft. Pours a pitch black color with a thin creamy brown head. Aroma is TONS of coffee, roasted malts, light chocolate sweetness. Flavor is coffee, chocolatey sweetness, burnt malt bitterness. Medium body and very smooth. Unbelievably delicious!

Tap at hops and pie. Clegar dark brown with a small buy thick brown head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, light dark fruit and chocolate. Flavor is the same. Medium to full bodied, smooth with some warmth on the end.

A really well crafted brew. Totally impactful coffee flavor with a smooth palate. Great dark appearance with a high alcohol content but not too much that you can taste it.

On tap at the taproom. Pours a dark brown with nice creamy tan finish that lasts. Huge coffee bean aroma and chocolate, booze. Thick mouthfeel with a strong roast, and intense coffee with nice boozy finish> Really amazing stuff.

On tap at Avery. Pours a dark black color with a fizzy tan head into a taster glass. Aroma is super heavy on roasted coffee with some earthy chocolate undertones. Although it smells almost like a fresh cup of brewed coffee. The coffee flavor is ever present in the first sip however you get the nice malty boozy flavors as well. You really cannot even notice the hoppiness of it and the alcohol is hidden very well. It has an overall velvety slick mouthfeel that I greatly enjoy and a good carbonation level. Overall this is a phenominal beer.
