On cask at Avery tasting room poured a translucent dark brown with a lingering tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bitter chocolate, light coffee and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and a hint of vanilla with a smooth lingering roasty finish.

cask. dark brown, small head. robust roasted coffee nose with forward cracked grains and toasted barley. rich and full-bodied, sublime texture: lightly prickly and dry while also luxuriously smooth and decadent. robust bakers chocolate and black patent malts shine. beautiful stout, exceeding their filtered bottle and draft version in every way.
