COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that’s yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

Very pale yellow straw colour, plenty of carbonation and a fluffy white head that seems to be shrinking in the glass. Aromas veer toward bubblegum and cloves. Especially cloves. Flavours the same. I don’t know how they ironed banana out of it, but there is very little disernable in either aroma or flavour. The finish is dehydrated pineapple (which I love). It gives you a kiss and then it’s gone. A pretty waif of a beer.

light yellow pour, strong aroma of citrus and coriander. not bad for a belgian white, just not my favorite style of beer. spiciness really comes through. decent thirst quenching summer brew.

Rather bright for a wit. Yellow to light-gold with fine haze and initial thin foamy white head. Soon all head fades and sparkling applejuice remains. I’m guessing it’s an old bottle. Aroma contains a lot of sweet spice. Flavor is balanced spice and citrus, but clean with a light touch of malt. Better than the last wit I reviewed, quenching, yet still not spectacular (like my benchmark for the style, Ommegang Witte).

Had this in a can, fresh, and thought it was kickass. Cans keep beer super cold and that worked well for this beer. Great thirst quencher for my tubing trip. Tons of flavor, super refreshing, lots of herbs and cloudy and fruity. Very complex for a white ale.

Location/Date:Can on July 16th given by Dave enjoyed at Kravitz Deck & Grill.

Appearance: Pours a yellow cloud.
Aroma: Aroma is sweet from the wheat.
Taste: A little sweet up front, and of a little bit of orange.
Palate:Medium body.

Summary: My first non-macro love was Witbiers and I still have a soft spot for them, despite my IPA leanings. This is a really nice example of the style.

On draught at Bilbo Baggins in Alexandria. Pours a very dense and hazy pale straw color with a lasting fine bubble white head and lace. Light body, not very effervescent. Mellow wheaty flavor with subtle coriander notes. Fair.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a pale yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is wheat and pale malts, lemons, and coriander. The flavor is sweet and a little tart. The palate is light, sticky, and a little astringent. Overall, a well executed but simple witbier.

12 oz. can, split with Matts_Property. Pours slightly hazy pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, orange peel, coriander and cereal. Flavour of wheat, coriander, orange peel and clove. Decent, but nothing special.
