A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that’s yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

Palest golden. Weak and lemon . Peppery and then a meringue sweetness. An odd flat creamy bitterness. Decent enough.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance was somewhat hazy yet slightly clear yellow colored body with a one finger white foamy head that dies at a nice pace leaving some nice foamy clingy lacing in its wake, carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace. The smell was spices (mostly coriander) are up front with a nice backing by the citrus, banana and yeast that gives a nice bready sort of background. The taste was mainly spicy first, but a nice bready sort of citrus balancing into a crisp flavoring, spicy aftertaste, dry yet crisp finish. On the palate, it sat light, sessionable - check!, carbonation is slightly sharp but still good for the style and for me. Overall, great witbier, Good job Avery, as much as I like this one, I’ll be more likely to have this again during the summer months as it shows a lot of nice refreshing qualities that would be better in the summer months.

Nice aroma with some spices and hops. Pretty weak body and taste though. Started out nice. Maybe a nice beer when it’s warmer.

Poured from a bottle. Light hazy yellow color, medium white head. A mild wheat and yeast aroma. Medium clove and wheat flavor with a light clove finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

BOD 293/13. Pours a hazy lemon yellow with an average head and lacing. Retention is poor. The light nose is of Belgian yeast over hints of lemon and spice. Light medium body with a touch of slick texture. Average carbonation level - just a touch of effervescence on the finish. A tasty wit, but with a weak flavor profile that follows the nose. On the finish, coriander is evident. This one needs to enhance the flavor. As it is, its a very good lawnmower beer.

Large taster from a friendly waitress in Quinn’s Bar, San Diego Sheraton on 17th March 2014. Misty light golden colour with a full white head. The beer is orangey, spicy and watery, glad I didn’t pay for it. I struggle to find anything positive to say about Wit biers in general and tend to leave them alone, even in Belgium on a sunny day. This offering did not change my mind, it is a style I can live without. Nothing wrong with the beer, just not my thing.

Another good beer from Avery, very smooth and light. Some spices, but not too many, fruity flavor along with some esters from yeast
