3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 presario (4131) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 30, 2005
Bottle courtesy of Legion242. Bot much for head but a thick cloudy pale yellow. Light banana scent with coriander. Very drinkable. Taste of yeast and spicy finish. If I drank this regularly I would hope it came in a bigger bottle.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TheBeerGod (4124) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2006
Bottle. Pours a cloudied gold with a tall white head. Nose is fruity (melon and lemon) and yeasty with lots of wheat and light spice. There’s some cardomom, coriander, and clove. Taste is wheat, grains, light spice (coriander and cardomom), and a bit of citrus. There’s an obvious Belgian yeast flavor throughout this. Body is light and refreshing. A thirst quencher even in January. Finishes with more grains, light spices, light lemon, and yeast. Some candyish notes at times during the finish. A really nice witbier, nonetheless.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 thedm (4124) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 15, 2004
This bottled brew from the BW3 in Fort Wayne, IN poured a medium sized head of white colored fine top medium sized bubbles that left behind a fair lace. The body was a softly carbonated transparent weak yellow pee color. The aroma was mildly malty and hoppy while favoring the hops. The mouth feel was smooth with no bite and a mild tingle. The flavor was malty and contained a few wheat notes.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 badgerben (4116) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 10, 2006
Hazy yellow color with no head. A moderate corriander aroma with some wheat. Lot’s of wheat and an orangy finish. Fairly light body. Corriander fades in the taste. Not bad. Thankfully not a corriander smoothy like so many Wits turn into.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 5000 (4104) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - JAN 28, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2004 Bottle pours a very yellowish-white cream color, with a decent white head. Lacing is moderately sticky... head has nearly dissapated now. Aroma is very faint for a Witbier. The coriander and curacao orange peel are very mild. Initial taste is promising, but falls flat without an adequate amount of spicing. Mouthfeel needs more... wanting the spice that is a true Belgian White. This brew would have been better if it had a bit more spice to it. The finish makes me think I had a plain ole American Wheat with some lemon in it. Definately not an Allagash White, but its okay.   Thanks goes out to ClarkVV for the trade!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 PorterPounder (4101) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 4, 2004
Cloudy, light golden appearance, thin spritzy white head. Fresh, floral aroma with a little bit of fruit; nectarines perhaps. Tart, crisp flavor, notes hints of coriander and lemon. Mouthfeel is a bit dry, kind of makes you pucker. Very thirst quenching though after a morning’s hike along the Ninichik River in Alaska. Finishes strong.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Leighton (4091) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2009
Appearance: Pours a very light yellow with just a touch of haze. Bubbly, pure white head that dissipates quickly.
Aroma: Strong and wheaty with some citrus and spice notes.
Flavor: At once tart and sweet, with hints of lemon, pepper and clove.
Mouthfeel: The beer is highly carbonated, creating a very crisp and refreshing mouthfeel. A somewhat earthy aftertaste.
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a solid example of the witbier style. A potent, lovely aroma gets the experience off to a good start, the nicely balanced flavors complement the aroma, and the energetic mouthfeel helps prolong the goodness.
Comments: I picked up this bottle at the Whole Foods in Tribeca.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 marcus (4047) - Sacramento, California, USA - JAN 26, 2008
This blonde ale poured with a foamy white head, eliciting a spicy aroma. The flavor is typical of a Belgian-style witbier, with coriander and orange peel over a wheat base. Very refreshing and drinkable.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TomDecapolis (4007) - Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 23, 2005
Pours a cloudy golden with a small white head that left some lacing on the glass. Aroma of wheat, spices and some citrus. Taste of lemon, yeast, spices and some orange peel. I have to admit I’m enjoying Witbeirs a bit more lately...may have to go back and re-rate some of the other ones I’ve had when I really wasn’t a fan of the style. Still not a top style of mine, but moving up.

Tap at Paradiso Georgetown. Poured nearly full hazy white to straw color with a decent white head that left some wisps of lace. Aroma is lemon, coriander. Taste is malty, buttery, a bit soapy, some dish water.
