COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that’s yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2007 12oz, served in my Duvel tulip. Nice wit spice aroma and some nice yeasty aromas too. Hazy gold with a small, but persistent, white head, maybe due to the coldness of the beer and a proper haze. Taste is wheat, coriander, curacao, yeast, vanilla, hay. There is also a nice tart/sour note and a lingering yeast flavor. Great summer beer and a nice example of the style.

Pale cloudy gold. Aroma is quite overt and pleasing, tons of coriander, citrus, banana, spice. Pleasant mouthfeel, medium-bodied, a little frizzante action, faintly sour, flavors a bit subdued but a very nice quaff.

This was another beer that I tried for the label and was pleasantly surprised by how great it was. The appearance is that of a cloudy pale honey with a frothy head. The aroma and taste offer a lot of citrus. Definately a good beer for the summer months.

Beer #300 for me. 12 oz bottle. Very cloudy light orange color. Yeasty, fruity with some malt flavor behind it.

12 oz. bottle from Morgan’s. Bottle conditioned. Drank on 7/24/06. Nice looking wit. Cloudy, nice yellow, lemony color. 1+cm. creamy white head. Drops to a nice layer of foam. Nice lacing. Aroma - banana, cloves, and spice. Belgian yeast and I get a hint of the corriander and orange. Fairly strong. Flavor - Decent level of bitterness on the tongue. Smooth, light cold and refreshing in the middle. Banana, clove, orange, and spice flavors come out in the swallow and in the end. They are pretty light though, not overbearing at all. Palate - nice and light, refreshing. Higher than avg. carb. Overall - good. Not my favorite style, but this one is good. Nice and light, and the spice isn’t overdone at all.

I liked this one but I like wits in general. Orange, spice, a classic cloudy yellow color and just a little fruit. Good example of the American witbier Very light and easily drinkable.

I am a big fan of witbier’s, and this is certainly an excellent choice for a midrange witbear. It smells of citrus herb and tastes like many witbiers, with a hint of fruit. Nothing spectacular though.
