Bottle. Pours black with minimal head. Aroma is mild roastiness, nothing like you would expect from a stout.Taste is just ash and maybe some roasted bitterness. But nothing else. not very good. No bourbon, vanilla, or anything else.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber into snifter glass, deep dark brown with dark tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, molasses, oak, chocolate and some vanilla. Taste adds notes of bitter coffee, caramel, slight nuttiness, dark chocolate and more tannic wood. Medium body, low carbonation, dry, astringent, creamy, rich with roasty wood finish. Pretty dry woody stout, overall pretty intense and flavorful for the ABV.

Bottle from Greenville beer exchange ( I think) - pours pitch with a foamy tan head, nice lacing. Aroma is bitter ashiness, that reads almost like being burnt. Thereís some bitter coffee with a nip or three of bourbon as well. Overall, close, but out of whack some how.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by my brother. Aroma is nice oak, molasses, slight vanilla, and licorice. Pours black but not thick with a medium bubbly head. Taste has a thick oak, licorice bite to it with only slight notes of chocolate and vanilla. Mouthfeel is thin and just a bit harsh. Not a big fan of this one.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours brown with a small mocha head that fades to a ring around the edge with slight lacing. Looks a little light for a stout.
Tons of molasses in the nose along with a heavy dose of caramel and maybe some vanilla.
A little bit chocolately up front and then the onslaught of sweetness hits. Heavy molasses and donít really get any barrel presence at all out of this one which is a shame because some booze could really cut the sweetness of this one.
Medium to full bodied. Decent creaminess, but itís a bit overcarbed for the style.
Really disappointed in this one. Hardly any barrel presence and the molasses is about the only real flavor in it. I could see how this one may have some potential if they get more of the barrel integrated into it as the base isnít too bad, just one note and sweet.

Brought over to Scotland by a friend of mine who had visited NC. Oatmeal stout brewed with molasses and aged in Bourbon barrels. Pours a huge tan head, smells of molasses and chocolate. Tastes of Toffee, molasses, and chocolate. Worth a go if you see it.
