Devilís Tramping Ground has a thick, slightly off-white head, a clear, bubbly, burnished-gold appearance, and fairly heavy lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of strong, sweet barley, yeast, and straw. Taste is of sugary, strong, alcoholic malt, some horse blanket, mild hop bitterness, and white bread crust. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Devilís Tramping Ground finishes medium dry and boozy. RJT

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2016 Can. Decent aroma and nice body on the palate. The taste is of heavy candied sugar and anise. I think itís way out of balance. Hits hard and stays. The booze shines through too I think (and not in a good way.) Not the best tripel.

Pours hazy dark yellow with medium head. Aroma: candy sugar, peach, citrus, spices. Taste: nice typical tripel taste but very subtle. Palate is nicely hoppy. ABV very well hidden.

Can. Pours golden orange with a white head. Peachy yeasty notes, some caramel, and anise-like notes, with mild bitterness lingering through the finish. Pretty good.

A belgian yeasty yeasty belgian yeasty yeasty kind of thing. Its the íletís use lots of belgian yeast in this one thangí. These domestic wanna beers rarely have the civility to be a real trippel. And let me tell you, it lacks all kinds of old world courtesies. Go figger. Hey, did I say this was yeasty in smell, and taste? Even cold it comes across with a strong banana attribute. You sure this aint an aged weizenbock? Hey wait, just in case there is not enough banana yeast in this, let me add moor.

GIJOE (1077) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - APR 21, 2016
Pours a murky amber with a moderate white head. Nose is malty with bready notes and a hint of coriander. Some nice Belgian funk. Taste is rather sweet. Medium body. Lively carbonation. Decent brew.

12 fl. oz can. Pours almost clear deep golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of belgian yeast, ripe fruits and pale malt. Taste of sweet and ripe fruits, belgian yeast, some spices and alcohol.

Idiosynkrasie (6177) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 25, 2016
355ml can. Moderately cloudy, yellow-ish golden colour with small to average, foamy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, snow white head reminding of beaten egg-white. Fruity and spicy, yeasty aroma, slightly sweet-ish brady and biscuity malty background, notes of yellow stone fruit. Taste is moderately dry hoppy, slightly peppery spicy yeasty, fruity notes of yellow stone fruit, sightly bready, minimally sweet, malty basis. Easy drinkable, well hidden alcohol; kind of a basic, prototype tripel waiting for variation and stepwise refinement.

gpekar (487) - Florida, USA - MAR 21, 2016
Poured a slightly hazy golden yellow with a thin white foamy head. There were a lot of carbonation bubbles rising up in the glass. The aroma was good with lemon citrus and yeasty bread. The beer had a creamy texture. There is a sweet malty initial taste. It was a bit too sweet for me. A slight hoppy flavor comes out in the middle, but not enough to balance the sweetness. The sweetness overpowers on the finish leaving a bit of a honey flavor.

ordybill (1301) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - MAR 6, 2016
Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a slightly murky gold color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is mostly malt, bread and some spices (coriander). The taste is an excellent malt rush. The ABV is fairly well hidden.
