From a can. Fresh banana aroma. Cloudy dark orange colour with a small white head. Banana, cloves and spice flavours. Thin to medium body with a sweet finish. Decent brew.

Single 355 ml can from broken-up Christmas sampler cases from Sobeys Liquor, served in a pint glass. Pours a hazy golden straw yellow, with streams of active carbonation, and a brief milky head. Nose is sweet banana, bubblegum, clove, other very ripe tropical fruit - all standard for a tripel. Flavor has pronounced sweet banana and candy, with a welcome lack of alcohol heat. Goes down like a soft drink. Thin-bodied, and aftertaste lingers very briefly. Very well-done, but not really my thing.

Can, tasting at Matt’s
Blond color, relatively clean, with small head. The aroma is estery and boozy. Sweet and boozy, with shallow flavors, more fruity than spicy. Classic example of fake Belgian mess with the alcohol trying to balance the sugar.

Can - Sweet, lemon and lots of yeast. Clear gold with a decent white. Sweet, grainy, yeasty and an estery finish. Not a fan.

12 oz. can, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is very floral, with tons of fruity esters, Belgian yeast and floral notes. Flavour is fairly sweet and floral, with lots of Belgian yeast, fruity esters, floral soapy notes and a some alcohol. Finishes floral, alcoholic and fruity. Pretty solid, but far from an authentic tripel. Okay.

Can to tulip Consummation: Overpowering yeasty lemon shandy. Adjunct: Particulates and effervescence makes it look like a small universe, chalky as a result of the particulates, alcohol is a bit much.

355ml can, Craft Beer Advent Calendar ’15. Colour is a nice bright yellow, some haze and flecks of yeast settling in the bottom of the glass. Small creamy white cap that doesnt last very long or leave any lacing behind. Nose has light bread, grainy, lemony notes. Taste has some bready sweetness, grains, yeast. Some light hopping at the end, yeasty aftertaste. Some alcohol notes, but drinks easily. Medium body. Not too bad, my first Tripel from a can.

2015 beer advent. Pours very light, and nicely carbonated. But lacking belgian yeast flavours, bitter citrus (off) flavours, not great for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can, craft beer advent calendar 2015. I think this might be my first ever tripel from a can. Light yellow, slightly hazy, thick white head. Yeasty phenols and sweet pale malts, slightly medicinal, overly bitter finish. Simplistic, and a bit harsh actually.

Pours golden, slight haze. Minimal white head. Aroma: Dough, earthy, leather, clove, hint of toffee. Taste is sweet, earthy, yeasty, faint spice notes. Full body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Long, lingering finish. Not bad, nothing spectacular.
