3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. Cloudy straw yellow with a medium, thick, persistent white head. Nose of sourdough and a touch of lemons. Starts off as a nice, smooth wheat beer with only a faint Belgian yeast appearance. Then...POW, this thing finishes with a whollop. Black pepper, ginger, lemon peel, and alcohol. Weird, but I like it pretty well.

Orlando can enjoyed in a dark Shades of Green room while HL was going to sleep. It’s an okay tripel. A little sweet and not too bold. Fine.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This beer pours a slightly hazy bright yellow-gold color with a medium thick white head that dissipates gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of fruity yeast, malt and spice. Medium to full body with flavors of banana, caramel malt and earthy yeast. The finish is fruity up front with an herbal yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Not terrible but ain’t right. Aroma is banana, green apple, rock candy, and spices. Taste is green apple, pineappa joose, and candy sweetness. Odd and sweet and tart.

3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Can shared. Pours hazy gold color with white head. Aroma is sour, fruity, yeast and booze. Tastes like a tart, sour green apple, with a sweet aftertaste. The sweetness increases the more you drink. It’s too sweet for my taste. Not my favorite.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Many thanks to John for sharing this can! Very fruity and intense nose. The beer starts fresh-yeasty-sweetish. Yellow fruit, very smooth. Nice-herbal-sweetish, nearly banana-like aroma. Very smooth-fresh. Nice sweetish-yeasty aftertaste. Great stuff!! 14/13/14/14

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer pours a hazy gold color, with little head. Aroma is some what sour with hints of fruit and spice, bread and booze. Taste is crisp and a hint of apple with a slight bitterness. You can taste the alcohol in this one. Somewhat refreshing, but a heavy hard hitter.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

Type: 12-oz. can
Glass: Stone Ruination IPA pint glass
From: Total Wine & More in Ballantyne (Charlotte), N.C.
Purchased: Sept. 9, 2014
Consumed: Sept. 16, 2014
Poured a golden, straw, semi-hazy color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white head. No bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass initially, but then came up after a few sips. Sporadic spots of foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Below average retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 3.77)
Smelled banana, cloves, sugary Belgian spices, kiwi, green grapes, faint all-spice, honeycomb and light cinnamon. Nice on the nose. (Smell - 4.09)
Tasted real close to the nose, but better in all aspects. Very nice. The sugary sweet Belgian spices dominated here. Also cloves, banana, green grapes, kiwi, caramel, all-spice and sugary honey notes. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, astringent finish. (Feel - 4.15)
This was a very good Tripel. I wish I had a 6-pack. (Overall - 4.15)
