A hearty Tripel Belgian ale. Don’t be afraid of the devil..he likes to party...but likes to take it up a notch..hahaha. This Tripel ale will grow hair on you in places you don’t want. If you are from NC you will know where this place is... SRM: 5

Draught at World of Beer. Pour is a cloudy golden with a medium white head. Chose this beer because of the name and provenance (being from NC). Taste is a little sticky...wheat with a bit of citrus fruit. Not what I was expecting from the title (somehow I don’t imagine the devil drinking a Belgian Ale on his tramping grounds) but an acceptable beer for the style nonetheless.

Light yellow and very clear. Sweet aroma, bubble gum and cherry flavor with a dry finish and some alcohol burning. Nice try, but doesn't quite feel like a proper Belgian Tripel ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Very bad fermented vegetable/fruit nose. Cloudy yellow, offwhite white lace. Light body, dry shit, caramel, roast. Less exiting finish.

Clear yellow with little white head. Aroma is some butter, citrus, lemon, bubblegum, light fruits, maybe banana, some red berries. Taste is honey sweetness. Not much else. Heavy malty almost spicy stuff in the finish. Not bad.

(bottle) hazy pale golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of marzipan and cashew nuts, with a hint of powdered sugar, some pear juice and bread dough. flavour is mostly rotten peaches and pale malts, rather sweet and ethanolic, with a touch of müsli and a semi-dry finish. heavy-bodied with soft carbonation.

Slightly hazy yellow with white head. Aroma has grains, quite cloying yeast character and booze. Taste starts sweet and malty with some sugar and yeast notes. Medium body with smooth mouthfeel. Not really my type of beer.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2016 Can. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is spicy, some fruits, vegetables, not estery. Taste is more spices, slightly orangey, some malts, quite boozy. Medium carbonation. Not a Tripel at all.

Devil’s Tramping Ground has a thick, slightly off-white head, a clear, bubbly, burnished-gold appearance, and fairly heavy lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is of strong, sweet barley, yeast, and straw. Taste is of sugary, strong, alcoholic malt, some horse blanket, mild hop bitterness, and white bread crust. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Devil’s Tramping Ground finishes medium dry and boozy. RJT

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2016 Can. Decent aroma and nice body on the palate. The taste is of heavy candied sugar and anise. I think it’s way out of balance. Hits hard and stays. The booze shines through too I think (and not in a good way.) Not the best tripel.
