Our IPA uses Columbus, Chinook, and Cascade hops, and is further dry hopped with Magnum and Willamette. 2-Row Pale, Vienna and Crystal malts balance nicely, resulting in a bright, citrus forward flavor.

Slightly murky golden with a one-finger white head. Aromas of grapefruit, cat pee and melon. Hoppy throughout with a prickly, sharp, abrasive finish. Could use more malt to support the earthy hap character.

Tasted at twin city taps. Ok beer. This was a slitly malty IPA with citrus bitterness.

Draft @ Hickory Hops 2011, Hickory, NC. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak peachy citrus aroma. Fruity malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy citrus finish.

Pours darker yellow with large white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma was of malts and some citrus, though muted in that regard. Flavor was unbalanced, bitter to the point of puckering grapefruit, but also watery in the finish. Very middling for style.

1/2 Pint at Revolution Pizza. Pours a pretty orange color with a good head. The aroma is surprisingly good, I wasn’t expecting this kind of straight up PNW hop goodness. It’s not anything out of the ordinary but the grapefruit, assorted citrus and evergreen aromas are solid and clean. The body is crisp and medium weight. This is a solid and very drinkable IPA. Lots of pine on this one, especially in the finish along with an interesting herbal note, something like rosemary, that I’ve tasted in some of Yazoo’s Hop Projects. There is a strong, clean bitterness throughout the flavor and a even malt presence for balance. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and am intrigued as to why so many other raters on the site did not care for this one. Perhaps Aviator has gotten their proverbial IPA shit together.

Great citrusy hop aroma. Pours slightly hazey. Strong hop taste from the "c-hops". Very refreshing.

My first beer at Brewgrass 2010 (I had to get some verification first, so that’s why it took me so long to rate it. In case you were wondering) - great way to start. I have huge weekness for crisp, flowery anc citrusy IPA’s, with a slightly thinner body. Really tasty stuff!
