Nice and tasty honey beer to drink with friends but not so special as Kaunas citizens claim.

Warning! Early amateur rating! At the brewpub in Vilnius. Hazy dark red beer. Slightly tangy beer, reasonably well balanced. Easy drinking and refreshing.

Draught (Avilys, Vilnius) - Brown with red tinges. Malty and sweet aroma. Lightly roasted and malty taste with a slightly medicinal and fruity element.

Deep red pour. Diminishing head and spicy aroma. Malty and spicy start with caramel middle but disappointing finish. Well worth a try despite extortionate price.

Draught in Kaunas brewpub. Fruity aroma, brown color. Grainy, malty flavor with nice hoppy finish.

Draught, 4.8% at the brewpub. Roasted or perhaps even charcoal aroma. Clear dark brown colour. Stable tan head. The flavour is roasted and dusty and quite nice, but unfortunately also quite thin. Still not bad.

I don’t know if there is a mistae, but according to my notes this is the dark one. Anyway, it is very tasty, roasted grains and awesome aroma. NIce head.

On tap at the Vilnius brewpub. Dark brown hazy body with a thick, lasting off-white foamy head. Nice malty/hoppy aroma with herbal, fruity, and piny hints. Taste is not as punchy as the aroma. It ends with a decent bitter finish. Enjoyable.

(Draught at the brewpub on 2008-06-21) Deep reddish brown. Hazy. Small white head that lasts quite long. Small amount of carbonation in medium palate. Roasted malts, some liquorice and some sweetness in taste.

Dark red color, light brown head. Butterscotch, malty and grainy scent. Butterscotch, dry, malty, roasted taste. Medium mouthfeel, low bitterness.
