By now you know about our obsession with Miss Fancy the Elephant, but you probably donít know that she had a very special trainer named Mr. Todd. It has been said that Miss Fancy and Mr. Todd had a special understanding and that she would not take instruction from anyone else. Mr. Todd was known for his intense affection for bootleg beer and whiskey, and being a sharing sort of bloke, he would allow Miss Fancy a few drinks as well.

Draft at the source. I am definately in the minority here with what I thought about the beer. It came off as fresh, resin, citrus notes, medium low caramel malt backing. High bitterness that lasts. Nothing complex, but I did enjoy this one.

Hazy dark copper under a persistent foamy white cap. Floral and earthy nose with a mild grapefruity twang. Flavor starts out very earthy hoppy, almost like a dandelion tone, with pithy grapefruit rind and earthy dry caramel biscuitiness under it, A little too earthy bitter with a little too much resin tones.

DiarmaidBHK (3597) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 31, 2013
Draft at liquor express. Pours dark, dark orange with a khaki head. Has a stale hop thing on the nose. Fairly hop forward on the tongue but not in a good way. Watery finish. Ugh!

Had the bitterness, the substance, and the ABV I would expect, but it lacked the pine/floral quality of a great IIPA. Bitterness was pronounced but there was something plastic-ish on the finish that was unpleasant.
