Sampled from the Russian Railways tea cup on the train to Krasnoyarsk. Pale yellow. The aroma had a lot of sulphur but most of it blew off, leaving a sourish grainy, appley aroma in its wake. The taste is sourish and grainy, with a relatively heavy body for the size.

Bottle. Pale dull yellow-gold, flat. Aroma is boiled egg sulfur, which is pronounced. Industrial grain processing machinery. Oily beer. The flavors are not as sulfuric as the aromas. Just grainy and metallic with a bitter finish. Tastes better with dried fish.

Bottled, enjoyed from a tea-cup on the train to Irkutsk. Pale yellow colour, tiny white head with short retension. Vegetably, grassy hop aroma. Flavor reflects aroma, albeit weaker, with a slightly bitter alcohol and hop finish. Smooth mouthfeel, moderately carbonated. Not terribly exciting, typical Russian beer, but enjoyable enough.
