Jine (855), Nutley, New Jersey, USA Feb 15, 2006 Dunkeltastical. Dark roasted color and taste. One of the better dunkels I’ve had.
SuperDave70 (720), Arizona, USA Aug 12, 2008 Deep, cloudy brown pour with a big foamy head that lasts and laces. Aroma of roasted caramel malt and milk chocolate, with some bready grain and fruit. Flavor follows the same pattern. Medium bodied and smooth on the palate. Just a touch of bitterness on the finish. Very nice! fonefan (4328), Ulfborg, Denmark Aug 12, 2008 Bottle 50cl @ home. Clear medium amber red brown color with a large, frothy, good lancing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, dark bread, caramel, nutty. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (020608) DrDavid (117), , Vermont, USA Aug 10, 2008 (Bottle). Malty aroma. Hazy reddish deep brown color, with small tan head. Taste is smooth, malty, and a bit earthy. Nice light finish. A pleasurable beer. Funknmilla (511), Absecon, New Jersey, USA Aug 9, 2008 Bottle...medium brown with amber highlights--tan fluffy foam...has a funky skunky stink to it initially...along with molasses....uck sour weird stank, but I keep smelling it...light sour malty flavor..toffee undertones--a mild biter in the finish---light effervescent mouth feel...spotty lacing--slight sweet in front and mid-palate--not too many dimensions here, a little muddled cherry, raisin, and distinct prune when I swish it in my mouth---a little sticky on the lips--doesn’t wow me, but I would drink again tedovertu (105), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA Aug 3, 2008 I must be a fan of the Brauerei Aying brewery. Every one of their beers have not disappointed. This one is no exception. The aroma of Molasses/honey mixed with horse blanket. Large Rocky light brown head with good lacing (fully lasting). Dark amber/brown body with excellent mouth feel. Medium bodied with a lively carbonation. The only draw back on the first few sips is a mild metallic finish.
