COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Sensual and balanced...a grand dame in a dance of flashy adolescents these days...old school. Pleasantly malty and complex lovely toasted golden color

The appearance was a semi-dark brown amber colored body with a two and a half finger white foamy head that lasts about a minute before dieing into the body, foamy clingy lacing starts to spider web after about a minute; light carbonation is seen rising at a moderate pace. The smell had sweet German malts, light banana, light chocolate. The taste had a malty sweetness leading to a rich sweet dark aftertaste; sweet dark malty lingering finish. On the palate, it sat at/about a light to medium in the body as it wants to show a heavier depth to it, but stays lighter to show a pretty good sessionable aspect to it. Carbonation runs really smooth and dark over the mouth and tongue. Overall, I say this is a wonderful Munich Dunkel that I would have again and wouldn’t mind putting it with a pirece of cheesecake with nothing on it.

Smooth and easy drinking, not super interesting however. Pours a beautiful ruby red with a thick tan head. Smells of malt and maybe a bit of cherry. Taste is malty, not very creamy, and a slightly roasty finish. Had in the bottle.

Bottle, 0.50l, courtesy of CanCrusher. Clear amber brown color with large creamy light brown head, fair lacing and soft visible carobonation. Aroma of caramel malt, dandelions, vegetables, herbal hops with mild chocolate notes. Taste starts very refreshing, while following is moderate sweet toasted malt with toffee flavour and moderate bitter finish. Full body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Another fabulous brew from Ayinger...

Bottle. Pours copper brown with small tan head. Nose is malty caramel, lightly toasted. Taste is sweet malt, molasses, dark fruit, coffee. I’m getting a metallic taste.

Has a nutty aroma and flavor with a clear dark caramel brown color. Good foamy persistent head. An excellent dunkel.

The aroma on this beer is weak. There is some perceptible malt but overall it is the one weak point in the beer. The beer is wonderful in the mouth. Light yet some malt sweetness. The balance is also observed in the taste which is well balanced between good caramel malt and fine noble hops.

A solid dark beer. Aroma is almost offensive, but everything else is really good. Not too heavy but full flavored. -March madness 2014

Pours dark brown-amber. Big head fully diminishes. Delicate carbonation. Intricate lacing. Malty aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel. Refreshing at room temp. Delightful silage aftertaste. Earthy. Easy drinking. I wasn't sure what to expect. Serendipitous experience. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured with light on color, dense frothy 2" head, bread aroma with some caramel notes. Smooth malt-forward taste with toasty Munich character predominant. Light-medium body, finishes clean. Very easy to drink and enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is a rich maltiness with hints of caramel. Quite sweet. Taste is a sweet maltiness up front that finishes pretty smooth. Appearance is a dark amber with a head that retains fairly.
