COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Sensual and balanced...a grand dame in a dance of flashy adolescents these days...old school. Pleasantly malty and complex lovely toasted golden color

A - 3 fingers of tan foamy head slowly melt on top dark amber brown body. Specks of lacing towards the top of the glass. S - Sugary ginger bread. Loads of nutty toffee malt. T - Spiced pumpernickel crust. Raisins, nuts, and dried cherries. Lots of roasted toffee. Slightly buttery. Some pepper in the back makes for a clean finish. M - Low carbonation, light bodied, smooth. Flavors were good but seems a tad watery. The dark malts were comforting in a way. Good nose. Rich aftertastes of toffee and caramel. 500 ml. Clear dark copper-brown with a lasting film of cream. Mild nose of molasses, vanilla and a hint of tart apple. Tastes of molasses with hints of chocolate, apple, citrus and some bitterish toasted nut and dry grass on the finish. Medium body has medium carbonation and is to the sweet side, but finishes with a nice balance.

Excellent aroma, but disappointing head. Not as good as their other offerings, but a solid effort nonetheless. One gets spoiled after having their Celebrator Doppelbock.
