Commercial Description:
Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Pours a deep rich cherrywood color with a dense creamy light brown head. Smells of rich malt and caramel. Bready. Taste is the same as the nose. Bready and really malty. Some light finishing hops. Lightly sour. Rich caramel and fruity. Mouth is sweet and lightly sticky. Pretty tasty dunkel.

Crushed with Jakebra. Smells poopy. Color of dirty toilet water. Kinda aight. Taste is kinda sweet, slight roast. If offered for free, I’d take it.

500 ml bottle in Paulaner half mas. Dark brown with lasting head and lace. Roasted hazelnut aroma. Roasted malty nutty earthy grassy flavors with clean finish. Medium body and medium-low carbo. Nice mouthfeel. Delicious. Hard to imagine a better dunkel.

Bottle. A clear, brown beer with a small, beige head. Slightly roasted on the nose, with caramel and a weak note of anise. Sweet flavor with caramel, a touch of salty licorice and some roasted notes. Medium body and decent carbonation. Caramel, roasted malt and some fruity flavors in the finish. A pleasant dunkel. (080829)

50cl bottle from Kingdom Liquors (Tampa, FL). Pours a clear dark brownish red with a thick and frothy tan head. Good retention and lacing. Aroma is sweet and malted with notes of chocolate malt balls, caramel, molasses, some hoppiness, and just a faint spiciness. Flavor is smooth and creamy with roasted malt, dark chocolate, some dark ripe fruit, raisins, and some faint spice. Generally medium to full bodied with a pleasant sweet and malty finish.
