Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Not one of the better Ayinger brews. However my bottle was probably very old since they didnt have it in the Comp, nor did anyone ever see it before.

Whole grain malt and plum/raisin aroma. Taste is initially mineral water and malts, followed by a sweet raisin/plum finish.

Nice clear copper/ brown with some golde hues and a creamy medium lasting beige head. Aroma is nice nuttiness with some coffee notes. Flavor is creamy nuttiness with some light toffee/ caramel notes and a gentle bittersweet aftertaste, fantastic balance. Medium palate, rich and creamy yet still very drinkable. Overall very well rounded, enjoyable and tasty

Pretty mahogany color, nice short head good lace. Nice aroma sweet pastry, dark fruit, raison bread?, vanilla, cherrie leather, nutty, caramel slight spice, chocolate, unique. Tastes picks up what aroma is, smooth creamy, soft malts complex and balanced, slight coffee/ cola. Pretty nice especially for a 5%er. This would be the beer to give someone who thinks they don’t like "dark" beer. I cant see anybody not likeing this.

Checking for beers I have yet to tick and found this one. Dark clear amber with a decent beige head. This beer is all about grain. I taste and smell brewers grain and it dominates both. A little chocolate syrup is tasted as is dark fruit. Some caramel, too. Decent stuff.

Surprisingly sweet and malty, I’d not had this style, but love this brewery. Pours clear light brown, with off-white head quickly disappearing. Aroma is sweet caramel and malt. Flavor is more of the same, with just a mild balancing bitter. Finishes clean, wanting more.

Bomber into a pint glass. Pours a clear medium brown, with a small white head that quickly fades. Nose is faint aroma of caramel and coffee. Taste is dark roast malt with coffee undertones. Nice.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark Amber, brownish color with a thick Rocky beige head and nice clinging lace. Rich malty nose is reminiscent of brown butter and toasted grain. Soft sweet toasted malt flavor has a buttery, nutty character. Dry finish. Nice balance and complexity. An outstanding Munich dark lager that is den initiate of the style.
