Dark chocolate in color, you can see a wonderful reflection if you hold it up to the light. It is round and soft with the warm, sweet aroma of freshly roasted malted barley. A satisfying, malty taste, with coffee-ish tones and a hint of plummy fruitiness in the finish. Complex and beautifully balanced.

Not one of the better Ayinger brews. However my bottle was probably very old since they didnt have it in the Comp, nor did anyone ever see it before.

Fantastic, smooth & mellow. The appearance is of a beautiful caramel color, aroma is soft, not overwhelming, flavor is nice and crisp, medium body, and the finish is dry and sweet.

Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo o ladnej i trwalej piance, karmelowym i orzechowym smaku. Rubinowej barwie. Slodowe nieco slodkawe, ale w ramach gatunku jest klasyczne. Ale powiem szczeze ze oczekiwalem czegos powalajacego, a tak nie bylo.

Bottle. Pours deep Mahogony with an off-White head. Nice roasted malt character. Sweetness is very light and accompanied by a really delicious bouquet of roast, slightly charred malt. Really dry and delicious.

The roasty maltiness in both the aroma and flavor makes this one of my favorites! A slight residual sweetness lingers nicely, making this a true classic!

Bottle to lager glass. Dark, reddish brown pour with a small but persistent off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt, burnt sugar, some toffee. Flavor hits the burnt sugar even more, with a little chocolate and dried fruit. Really active carbonation. Not my thing.

Aroma is very mettalic, like aluminum foil, with a hint of dark fruit. Very attractive visually, dark ruby with streams of bubbles and a white head. Taste is mostly plumy and date like dark fruit with a mettalic bitterness, the metal detracts from the flavor which would be great without the metal. Palate is fizzy and nice. Overall, better than average, but would be very good without the metal, maybe somthing is wrong with this bottle?

Bottle. Dark ruby purple brown. Not much head or lacing. Very metallic nose. Nice bright, bubbly body. Raisin, slight metal, mild charred malt.

50 cl bottle from monopoly. Dark brown red, clear beer with a light brownish head. Malty to smoky character with some light sweet malt and toffee notes. Not my style, maybe a bit too heavily carbonated.
