emacgee (976), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA May 12, 2008 Poured a nice copper red with a one finger frothy tan head. The aroma was sweet, a bit earthy, lager aroma fo sho, bready, basement earthy aromas. The flavor was lightly sweet, bready, malt dominant, very light hop presence, some raisin (?), basement feel is the best way I can describe it. Nice carbonation and finishes earthy with a very very mild hop bite. Easy drinker.
acrdz (4148), Pennsylvania, USA Jul 23, 2008 500ml bottle pours medium dark brown with a tan head. Dusty, old, dry nose of stale bread crust and dried Munich malt. Flavor is just as stale, dusty, dry, and old as the aroma, some toffee and light toasted malts tasted as well, but overall not really winning points, but I fear that this may be too old of a bottle. Bigmmartin (137), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jul 20, 2008 Bottle. Dark reddish brown when held to the light. Aroma and flavor are mostly sweet malts, chocolate, and caramel. A classic Dunkel. 1_2many (142), Ohio, USA Jul 18, 2008 Bottle. Deep burgundy pour with an average head. Very nice doughy yeast aroma mixed with some malt but the flavor is lacking in my opinion. Mostly sweet. Smooth and completely drinkable but doesn’t stand out. kkearn (599), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 16, 2008 500mL bottle. Pours chestnut colored, capped with a thick tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, light chocolate and toffee. Sweet malt and grain flavors with some caramel, a little smoke, and rye. Creamy mouthfeel, with substantial carbonation. Very quaffable and tasty. MIBRomeo (1845), Wisconsin, USA Jul 14, 2008 Dark mahogon & brow pour nice whit head some lacing
