Chipper (179), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 25, 2008 A bright yellow color with a huge white head. Very effervescent and lot’s of fruit aroma. A little spice and citrus as well.
Flavor is a little sweet and a little dry. A definite dry finish. Great stuff. VitaminR (421), Colorado, USA Aug 23, 2008 Banana lemon spice on the nose, hints of jammy apricots. Golden yellow color, with haziness and a huge foamy head. Haney and malt sweetness, balanced by a little bitterness and some citrus tartness. Big carbonation, creamy texture, yet crisp. It also finished nicely, almost seemed to have a little more of an alcohol burn at the very end? (in a good way). Deep and flavorful, this is an awesome beer. bigtaster (184), Grand Rapids, USA Aug 19, 2008 500ml bottle in weizen. Pale yellow-white and very hazy, huge white head slowly depreciating. Very sweet aroma of banana’s and vanilla. Very smooth with enough carbonation to tickle your tongue. Yeasty sweet taste some nice fruity notes. Good but not enough real flavor the sweetness is only temporarily satisfying. GMCC2181 (845), Bear, Delaware, USA Aug 14, 2008 Bottle. Golden yellow in color. Good head. Aroma of banana and yeast. Taste is a super smooth and a light taste of bananas, lemon and yeast. Very refreshing. Light texture and low carbonation. I could drink this all day, every day. Good beer. I am in love with german beers DSG (1501), Tel Aviv, Israel Aug 9, 2008 (7/3/08) Draught at Ayingers Speis und Trank in Munich. Pale cloudy yellow with a big and quite stable white head. Aroma is wheaty with decent fruity esters. Sweetish fruity flavor with some banana and light spiciness. Medium-bodied. Maybe slightly too clean for a Weizen but still good. tedovertu (259), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA Aug 3, 2008 Major bubble gum and clove in the aroma. Huge frothy white head that is fully lasting. Cloudy murky medium yellow body. Lightly sweet initial flavor that finishes very smooth. Light body with a lively carbonation. scrizzz (1250), kirkland, Washington, USA Jul 29, 2008 fresh lemon, young banana and dry wheat blend for a lucious complex aroma. 4 finger head of medium bubbles took a long time to subside and left nearly no lacing though the array of golden hues in the glass made up for that. sweet with a wildflower/herbal foundation that finishes a hint tart and dry. the best hef i’ve ever had. Pershing (146), Garland, Texas, USA Jul 23, 2008 Cloudy yellow with a tall thick head. Lemon yeasty nose. Medium carbonation. Smooth finish left me wanting more. Good quality example of a real hefeweizen.
