Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Bottle: Hazy straw-yellow body with a huge, chunky white head that leaves lots of fat, patchy lacing all over the glass. Bananarama aroma with tons of fruity esters right off the bat. Large hints of clove, mint, & bubblegum from the yeast, as well as a hint of straw, wheat, & grassiness hidden underneath. Flavor is also heavy with the mostly-sweet, yet mildly-spicy banana & clove hints, only there’s a solid backing of freshly baked bread to hold it all up. Lighter hints of grass, bubblegum, & salt-water taffy with a clumpy finish that’s reminiscent of banana bread. Mouth feel could be a tad thicker, but it’s still pretty chunky. A really nice German hefeweizen.

Fantastic beer! It has a very unusual (in a very good way) nose, with flowers, roasty/smoky hints. The best beer I have had in the last several years.

Nose: sweetness, yeast, sour, lemon, yoghurt, vanilla. Typical weiss pour, cloudy amber. Taste: buttery, some bread, light yeast, anice, minimal hops. Silky palate, good fizz in the mouth, but soft and creamy otherwise. Overall: nothing bad about this beer. Quite pleasurable to drink, a bit different than your typical german weissbier.

From 330ml bottle, poured into 16oz tulip glass

Aroma: big banana smell, moderate wheaty/bready/doughy aroma

Appearance: gold, hazy, white head faded pretty quick

Taste: slightly sweet, light bitter

Palate: medium body, creamy texture

Overall: Good amount of banana aroma and taste. Quick refreshing. Nice amount of wheat character. Very little hops. The yeast is prominent and great. Bready/doughy like a good wheat beer. Very faint vanilla and bubblegum. I almost always get bubblegum aromas on wheat beer. Very well balanced. Very nice Hefeweizen.
