Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

500ml bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.

Cloudy hazy pale straw golden colour with lots of dirt- like yeast sediments; One finger head with crumpety white foam which lasted for 2 minutes; Very good sticky lacing and notable carbonation; Very fragment aroma of wheat malt, with banana, vanilla, bubblegum, champagne bubbles, caramel, light pineapple, sugar, cloves, spices, light malt, strong yeast, lemon and very light grass; Tart and light sweet taste of light malt, with vanilla, light banana, light caramel, strong wheat, faint red fruits, light phenolic, strong cloves, spices, strong yeast, light lemon and very light grassy hops; Mid to light body. Crisp and smooth palate; Mouth feel is strong wheatyness but not very tart in a solid body. Very smooth to the tongue which brings out the vanilla and caramel. Banana ester is light with shades of red fruits. Light phenolic weith good cloves and spices. Quite yeasty with matching light malt. Solid!... Hoppiness is fragrant light lemon and loe grassy hops in nose and taste. Bitterness is typical weiss low-fi but notable in background for a mostly wheaty light tart finish; Quite dry after taste, very easy and smooth to mouth.

Comments: This one’s main forte are its quite fragrant banana ester and lemony hops aroma, plus smoothness in palate. I also think this one is quite well-balanced, with aromatic hops and clove spicy elements being well expressed without amplifying its chemical aspects. Still, For richness and smoothness, this one cannot top the Neumarkter Lammsbräu Weisse. All in all, very solid and functional, a nice one if the price is right. (Lammsbräu and Paulaner are cheaper, BTW)

Pours a large soapy white head which leaves a final stable thin layer; colour is a hazy pale golden. Smells wheat, vanilla, fruits, yeast and flowers. Tastes wheats, banana and spices, with a citrus/lemony hint. Right amount of sweetness, with a nice fruitiness and tartness in the finish; overall an extremly low bitterness and very delicate aftertaste. Lively carbonation, light bodied; texture is a bit thin, I remembered this to be creamier. Balanced and very refined weissbier, in my opinion together with Schneider it’s the best German wheat beer producer

Pours a hazy lemon skin yellow with a snazzy champayne style white foam cap. This is a fantastic beer & best enjoyed holding your new born son while watching the German side win in the World Cup. Love the aroma, with its promise. Sipping on this is a treat: a complex swirl of spice, yeast, & subtle fruit notes. It’s the balance that is so striking here. Highly recommended.

Pours piss-like with thick white head. Aroma of banana, yeast, and a bit of citrus. Taste is big on the yeasty bananas. Big time. Very refreshing.

50 cl bottle into a weizen. Hazy straw color, medium head, little lacing. Mostly banana with some lemon on the nose. Tart wheat with sweet yeasty banana and a hint of lemon on the taste with a clean dry aftertaste. Medium body with good carbonation that lightens the feel, very smooth. Overall a really good hefeweizen, really drinkable and refreshing. Doesn’t have a lot of complexity but has a lot of flavor. Will certainly have this one again.

Great heffeweisse. I love the style and this is a prime example. Refreshing with a suble taste. It starts fresh, even a bit tart, then goes to malt sweetness banana and yeast and finishes with a bready malt aftertaste.

0,5l Flasche. Hellgelbes Weizen mit herrlicher Schaumkrone. Riecht leicht malzig. Geschmack nach Malz, Fruchtaroma nach Banane und dezent nach Citrusfrüchten. Sehr süffig und schmackhaft.

0,5l bottle. Unclear pale yellow, not the biggest head. Yeast, banana and cloves on the nose. Starts with wheat and yeast. Later more fruity, light herb, banana and chewing gum in the background. High carbonated. But still not more than an average bavarian Weißbier.
