It has an aroma of lemon, banana, yeast, and a little clove. Taste of this light body comes across with the same and a dryness like champagne. The flavors are mile on this hefe but still great tasting. jimel001 (34), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 10, 2008 Strong citrus aroma and flavor and a very nice thick head. Has a very hazy golden appearance as you can see the suspended yeast. The appearance, aroma and taste are great but it’s not the best Hefeweizen I’ve ever had. Nevertheless if you love Hefeweizens as much as I do you really can’t go wrong with this brew. riversideAK (2669), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 9, 2008 Tap. Aroma of bananas and cloves. Very estery. Pours an orange yellow. Obviously hazy. Flavor is sweet and estery. Fruity and pleasant. Very drinkable. A touch of lemon in the finish puts this one together. A great hefe. kappldav123 (1819), Markkleeberg, Germany
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jan 5, 2008 The bottle looks good, typical Ayinger-style. The beer tastes very much like a normal hefeweizen, fruity, sweet - delicous. Only the finish reminds me of a non-alcohol beer - that’s not so good. Nevertheless a good and drinkable beer. darkninja67 (40), Boston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 3, 2008 500ml bottle-pours a golden honey color with a lot of carbonation. Thin head dissipates fairly quickly. Hints of banana in the flavor. Strong wheat flavor noted. Fairly easy to drink and overall a good brew. kidmartinek (975), austin, Texas, USA

Ayinger is a beautiful cloudy straw color. It tastes light, and refreshing like light wheat, with a hint of lemon, yet it is full flavored. A very good brew, one of my favorites. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 21, 2007 Not my favorite style here so I’m being generous. The carbonation was an overload on this one, I actually had to give the bottle a shake. Very lemony and orangy. Super spiced beer. The wheat was super strong. One who likes wheat beers will love this guy, but just not my thing. Becker (14), Bayern, Germany
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 18, 2007 Complex fruity-spicy aroma. No thick creamy head as advertised, however. Decent taste, but not my favorite hefe.
