I do not care what others think, Ayinger is the best! I am also a hefeweizen fanatic, so I am a little biased. robforbes (1085), Bremerton, Washington, USA

smell - wheat, lemon, yeast, spice, fruit.
taste - fruit, lemon, wheat, there is a sweetness on the back-end that is also a bit tart, leaves the mouth slightly dry and wanting more.

This brew did not disappoint. Pours an absolutely exquisite pale golden color with a foamy snow white head. Yeasty aroma with very subtle banana notes. I got the slightest clove notes, but that might be my mind telling me that it should be in a hefe! Flavor was a fruity/citrusy balance that was light enough to be very thirst-quenching. This hefe skews a bit lighter than others, but there is no loss in flavor. Just another solid offering from Ayinger. d1ringer (8), USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Oct 23, 2007 Bread and butter taste with a slight lemon flavor. Perfect to eat with a nice steak, I love this beer but it is very expensive. Worthy every penny, Love it holdenn (1439), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Aroma is yeasty with wheat, malt, banana, and clove. Similar flavors a little fizzy but still creamy from the wheat. Decent beer. Cletus (5050), Connecticut, USA

Smells of bananas, lemons, cloves, some coriander and oranges. Tastes of bananas, some clove, bubblegum and hints of spice and pepper. Mouthfeel is full. About as good as you can get out of a hefeweizen in a bottle. theviolet (168), New York, New York, USA

Some yeast, some alcohol. Beautiful great white head. Cloudy golden, great. Very dry flavor, some fruitiness. Slightly spicy in the finish and the aftertaste. Full bubbly mouthfeel. I like it. Good beer, would drink it again. kerplun1 (11), New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Bottle. Poured nicely with a wonderful, thick white head. Head eventually dissipates to leave a very pale, slightly cloudy beer. What foam remains leaves nice legs on the glass. Scent of light yeast, reminiscent of a leffe blonde or other lighter belgian ale. For a beer this light feeling, there is still a luxurious mouthfeel here. This is a nice beer. Not really a style I prefer, but a great representation of it. Seems like it would be great after cutting the lawn on a hot day.
