Aug 7, 2007 6/30/07 On Draught at the Seattle International Beerfest. Aroma is sour malt forward, wheat, peppery with some plasticy esters that are not objectionable for some reason. Appearance is cloudy straw yellow with a low white head. Flavor is sweet bubblegum, clovey with orange with a clean finish. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a slight starchiness. Overall, this is a great complex beer that is surprisingly easy drinking for all the flavor packed in.

Aug 5, 2007 This is a summer beer you can drink any time. The citrus flavor is not overpowering but it’s there. Drink it freely, as long as you are not driving.

Aug 1, 2007 Updated: Aug 26, 2008between this beer and paulaner’s hefe you cannot go wrong. if you like the style, this beer just about sets the standard. perhaps just a little sweeter than the paulaner. a fantasitc beer made for the summer time, although I still think Paulaner is the best Hefe made.

Jul 30, 2007 (500mL bottle): Pours a very pale cloudy yellow body, big foamy white head, lasting. Fresh hay aroma, malts, some light fruit, like grapefruit. Light taste, watery, light malty aftertaste. Spicy, lemony taste, similar to the aroma. A little weakish & thin, but nice taste.

Jul 29, 2007 Draft-A cloudy yellow hue with a white head, with great retention. A heavy malt aroma lemons and bread. Flavor was sweet at first, but grew very lemony and finished with a slight spice note. Very heavy, and at times gassy.

Jul 27, 2007 Bottle. Nose is citric sourness, yeast and lemon. Cloudy pale yellow with no head. Smooth and clean palate with some sharpness. Flavor is underpronounced citrus, but nice. All around a refreshing hefe with a clean palate, slightly lacking in flavor.

Jul 26, 2007 Bottle. Pours a hazy golden with a large rocky white head that lasts leaving good lacing. Aroma of wheat, citrus, bananas, yeast, vanilla, and clove. Taste is the same as aroma with a mild spicy tart finish. Medium mouthfeel thats slightly creamy and well carbonated. A very well done Hefeweizen perfect for a hot Florida Summer day.

Jul 18, 2007 Foggy, golden appearance with a large, fluffy,white head and decent lacing. Wheaty aroma accented with banana, clove and lemon. Yeasty, wheaty, fruity, mildly sweet flavors; muted hops; some spicyness and tartness in the aftertaste. Creamy, medium-bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Smooth, fruity, long lasting finish.
