Bevuta al Black Sheep a Brescia, pagata 4.50; non sapevo che mi avrebbero portato perché nella lista c’era scritto solo Weisse. bubbleflubber (890), Collinsville, Virginia, USA

Had on draught at Blues BBQ in Charleston, WV. Beautiful cloudy opaque deep straw pour. It has a 3-finger head that lasts for great retention and leaves frothy lace. Sweet banana, some vanilla and slight clove to the nose. There are mounds of banana and wheat flavors, with the finish really drawing in strong cloves. The wheat, fruit and spice integration is almost unparalleled. The carbonation level mixes with a silky mouthfeel to bring a perfectly contrasting zest to the palate. For the dog days of summer, this may be one of the world’s best German hefe’s. (Formerly, this was my favorite style, and I’ve certainly had my share of them. This offering is "par excellence".)
