| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 4, 2007 Aroma of light banana concentrate - fruitful, but not "fruity." The golden fog, matched up with a decent carbonation, seems to allow the palate plenty of use. It does go down well,. The swirls of wheat give a small, but effective hesitation before gulping the goodness down. jkoch (41), USA

Pours a cloudy orangeish-yellow with a thick, foamy head. A bit of lacing down the glass. Small and taste were clove and slight banana. I liked the subtle banana taste rather than the powerful banana taset in some American hefeweizens I’ve tried. Very refreshing beer. I could very easily drink several of these on a hot summer day. mtoast (290), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jul 3, 2007 On draught, 7/2/07. Pours a cloudy light orange color with a decent fair lasting head. Previous kegs have always been a little more yellow with less cloudiness, not that I’m complaining. Nice citrus/clove aroma, nothing out of the ordinary. Flavor seems to be a little heavier on the banana than I remember. Either we’ve been getting older kegs up til this one or there has been a slight recipe/purveyor change at Ayinger. Again, not that I’m complaining, just noticing some subtle changes from the last keg to this one. tronraner (1909), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Bottle. Pours opaque orange gold with white head. The aroma is mild banana, assertive yeastiness, faint orange zest, and some clove. The flavor is zest, white bread, light banana, and clove esters. Some spicy and herbal hops add a refreshing crispness. Zesty and tingly finish with soft malty aftertaste. I was craving a good German Hefe to counter the intense Tennessee summer, and this hit the spot. rocbyter (905), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 19, 2007 Bottle courtesy of Plucier: Poured a cloudy and hazy yellow/whitish color ale with a bit foamy head with great retention and some dark lees at the bottom of the bottle. Aroma of pure wheat with some nice ester and floral notes. Taste is dominated by refreshing wheat notes with some medium banana and ester notes also noticeable. Nice body with some low filtration and adequate carbonation and a creamy texture. Very well done overall and quite enjoyable with the warm weather.
