rmalloy (195), los angeles, California, USA Oct 2, 2006 Lemon, banana, bubble gum, clovers, and dough. Very light hops. Refreshing. One of the best wheat beers I’ve had. patrick767 (2016), fort wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 18, 2006 draft - Pours orangish-yellow with a moderate head. This beer smells great with lots of citrus and banana aromas. The flavor is of yeast and banana most prominently and a mild spicy note. It’s got a smooth feel with a medium body. The finish is clean and refreshing. This might be my favorite hefeweizen thus far. BeerloverEJ21 (131), Georgia, USA Sep 15, 2006 I was over at a local liquor store and they were selling pints of this Ayinger for $1 a piece. I must say, Im very impressed with this weisse. Very aromatic, smells of banana and spice. Flavorful; tastes of banana, clove, bubble gum, yeast. Finishes fairly clean and leaves me wanting another gulp! I’m going to have to get more of this stuff. Bravo, Ayinger! MoritzF (4863), Bochum, Germany Sep 8, 2006 (bottle) Cloudy orange colour with a huge, slowly lacing foamy white head. Clean and balanced yeasty banana-fruitiness, wheat character and clovy notes. Moderately sweet flavour, well-bodied with a sparkling carbonation. Wheaty and fruity (banana, citrus) taste; fruity and moderately clove-spicy finish. A fine and not too heavy, well-rounded Hefeweizen with session qualities. Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Sep 3, 2006 Tap at the Acadia Cafe. This tastes so much like Sprite to me it’s almost silly. Quite an enjoyable wheat, though - flavors of lemon, more light fruits, etc. Maybe i’ll compare that taste more to "champagne." That’s a bit more palatable i suppose. fonefan (10868), VestJylland, Denmark Aug 27, 2006 Draugth @ Hardrock cafe, München. Pours a cloudy yellow color with a medium white head. Aroma is of whete, lemon, banana, and some earth spices. Flavor is mostly the same with some hint of citrus. jcr (1139), Jasper, Indiana, USA Aug 25, 2006 Appealing pour of a large, white head on hazy yellow body. Sweet aroma of banana, pear, caramel, clove and grain. Very sweet flavor on top of banana, pear, bready malts and grassy hops. Lively carbonation from a thin to medium body results in a comfortable mouthfeel. Very enjoyable. ilikestuff (222), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Aug 19, 2006 Updated: Aug 31, 2006Will definatley try again because I was unable to drink according to specifications, but this wasn’t my favorite wheat. A bit overly fruity and floral for me, tasted like green grapes and apples. A very nice wheat flavor, great mouthfeel, but just couldn’t really apprecciate the fruitiness. A nice beer, but not my favorite wheat.
