Commercial Description:
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Hazy lemon pour with lots of spritzy carbonation. Buttery nose is layered with sweet breads, vanilla wafers and sweet fruits. The body is equally sweet, with lots of caramelly malts and banana cream notes. Really drinkable and well balanced - the yeast plays a secondary role to the sweet malts and makes this really work. Good stuff.

Hazy light gold with normal sized head. Nose of bananas and cloves. Taste is much the same, with some spice and lemon. I’ve never been a huge fan of the original hefes (love pales and ipas), but this one is rather nice...and is changing my mind overall.

Rating 400! 16.9 oz, no date. Pours a cloudy light golden with a large rocky white head. Aroma of banana cream pie, cloves, yeast, a little citrus, possibly some spice. The taste was much the same, which overall is what a hefe is supposed to taste like, though this is done very well. Highly carbonated--too much--and light bodied. Overall pretty darn good for a hefe.

Ultra-frothy and fizzy head that lasted forever. Nice hazy golden-yellow color, the archetype for the hefeweizen. Citrusy and flowery aroma with elements of yeast, wheat, spices (clove, nutmeg), and banana. The perfect balance of typical hefeweizen flavors: wheat, yeast, citrusy, spicy, bubblegum/banana somewhere in there... just awesome. As close to a perfect example of the style as one can reasonably get.

Bottle. Lemon flavor- retains a solid acidic lemon flavor from start to finish, neither bitter nor sweet. Good light yellow color with white frothy head. Fairly dry on the palate with good cabonation. A good solid hefe. Very drinkable and straight forward.

Bottle 50F Weizen. Yeast notes, with very citric undertones very similar to lemon zest, a bit of clove and pepper. Light golden color almost a cloudy yellow, with a medium white head that remains nicely. Sweet and sour tastes, good citrus notes, great bread like yeast characters. Great light and sweet notes very delicious, umm one of the better wheats I have tasted. Medium Palate with high carbonation, nice bannana taste. Good feel on the tongue finishes nicely dry. A+ A very good example of the german wheat, subtle and complex with great light notes that make for easy drinking. Achtung ganz gut bier!
