Pours a hazy yellow with a voluminous white head. The aroma is cloves, vanilla, bazooka bubblegum, a hint of lemon, plenty of yeast. The flavor is more or less as expected from the aroma, only more so - a very Hefe Hefeweizen here, relatively sweet, yeasty, plenty of wheat in the flavor as well. The mouthfeel is smooth and enjoyable.

This may not be my favorite style, but it’s certainly a very well executed example thereof. apoptosis (1316), Long Island, New York, USA Jul 28, 2006 Very typical-looking hefeweizen: cloudy yellow body with a very lush, creamy white head. Full, wheaty nose, with some citrus/lemon peels. Herbal/grassy flavor. Slightly sweet finish, yet slightly tart and sour. notalush (2628), Denver, Colorado, USA Jul 28, 2006 Hazy golden with an impressively sustained head - aroma of lemon, yeast, banana and a mild spiciness - soft on the palate - refreshing, with mild sweet malts, some banana and clove - some belgian-like floral qualities and a touch of honey - great summer brew. DrnkMcDermott (1832), Downers Grove, Illinois, USA Jul 25, 2006 500 ml bottle. Should have read the description before I poured: kicks up a BIG head in my small weizen glass. Foam becomes rocky as it settles atop a very cloudy yellow body, almost in wit territory. Smell carries notes of clove and citrus, while the usual banana smell is in the background. Tasting instantly brings up lemon zest, some more banana, and sweet Bavarian malts. Yeasty, but in a good way. Can’t find those flowery impressions they speak of, but that would be the first thing to be lost on a long import trip. I can see calling it "dry," but not by much. Certainly does NOT need a lemon slice in it, it’s fine by itself. Sputerbug (112), Nacogdoches, Texas, USA Jul 21, 2006 500ml bottle pours a beautiful golden color with a nice foamy head with aromas of lemon ,banana, yeast and malts. It’s a refreshing brew on a hot day. mbeem (104), New Hope, Alabama, USA Jul 19, 2006 Updated: Sep 10, 2006Excellent Beer!! Poured a beautiful cloudy golden with a thick white head. Nose of bananas, yeast, clove and lemons. Tastes wonderful with cloves and spices that have good presence without being cloying as some weisse beers can be. My new favorite hefeweizen!! A unfiltered golden colored brew with a good head. Liked the wheat flavors along with some other malts. The hops where noticeable and the beer drank very easy. Liked this as a good after working outside all day brew.
jedadiahcombs (41), Huntington, West Virginia, USA Jul 7, 2006 Another step on my wheat appreciation quest. Poured Murky yellow with a foamy white head. Plenty of yeast, wheat and carbonation. Nice citrus and butter notes. Another very drinkable wheat.
