Commercial Description:
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Bottle 50F Weizen. Yeast notes, with very citric undertones very similar to lemon zest, a bit of clove and pepper. Light golden color almost a cloudy yellow, with a medium white head that remains nicely. Sweet and sour tastes, good citrus notes, great bread like yeast characters. Great light and sweet notes very delicious, umm one of the better wheats I have tasted. Medium Palate with high carbonation, nice bannana taste. Good feel on the tongue finishes nicely dry. A+ A very good example of the german wheat, subtle and complex with great light notes that make for easy drinking. Achtung ganz gut bier!

From the bottle. <!-- p --> Pours a hazy yellow with a voluminous white head. The aroma is cloves, vanilla, bazooka bubblegum, a hint of lemon, plenty of yeast. The flavor is more or less as expected from the aroma, only more so - a very Hefe Hefeweizen here, relatively sweet, yeasty, plenty of wheat in the flavor as well. The mouthfeel is smooth and enjoyable. <!-- p --> This may not be my favorite style, but it’s certainly a very well executed example thereof.

Very typical-looking hefeweizen: cloudy yellow body with a very lush, creamy white head. Full, wheaty nose, with some citrus/lemon peels. Herbal/grassy flavor. Slightly sweet finish, yet slightly tart and sour.

Hazy golden with an impressively sustained head - aroma of lemon, yeast, banana and a mild spiciness - soft on the palate - refreshing, with mild sweet malts, some banana and clove - some belgian-like floral qualities and a touch of honey - great summer brew.

500 ml bottle. Should have read the description before I poured: kicks up a BIG head in my small weizen glass. Foam becomes rocky as it settles atop a very cloudy yellow body, almost in wit territory. Smell carries notes of clove and citrus, while the usual banana smell is in the background. Tasting instantly brings up lemon zest, some more banana, and sweet Bavarian malts. Yeasty, but in a good way. Can’t find those flowery impressions they speak of, but that would be the first thing to be lost on a long import trip. I can see calling it "dry," but not by much. Certainly does NOT need a lemon slice in it, it’s fine by itself.

Excellent Beer!! Poured a beautiful cloudy golden with a thick white head. Nose of bananas, yeast, clove and lemons. Tastes wonderful with cloves and spices that have good presence without being cloying as some weisse beers can be. My new favorite hefeweizen!!
