Snojerk321 (1914), San Diego, California, USA May 17, 2006 Bottle from Bev Mo La Mesa. Pours a cloudy medium golden color. Head is off white and big! Nose of banana, lemon, vanilla and yeast. Flavor is much the same. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada May 15, 2006 Bottle 500ml. Poured hazy gold, slightly amber at the bottom of my weizen glass, big fizzy-foamy white head - a little too pale. Damn that’s a fine aroma - fresh sweet fruity malt, I get apple, banana, pear, hard candy, light spice, a bit of lemon in the later sniffs. Taste is pretty similar, plenty of banana, lemon, treefruit, soft sweet spice, and a nice hint of peppery hop bitterness in the finish. It’s a tad watery, but it’s very soft, pleasingly lightly carbonated, not acidic or astringent at all, has a quick finish and a light fruit linger - sweet, but just right. ryan (1774), Beltsville, Maryland, USA May 15, 2006 Pours a hazy, lemony yellow with a big, fizzy white head. Mostly fading. The aroma is banana, cloves, bubblegum, peaches and ctirus. The flavor is loaded with bubblegum, banana, lemons, apricots, lightly spiced at the end. Medium body with lively carbonation. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA May 14, 2006 ayinger hasn’t let me down yet. this is pretty much a typical hefeweizen in every way, but it’s got more flavor than franzikaner and weihest.... whatever it’s called, so i like this more. bierkoning (5987), La Tropica, Netherlands May 14, 2006 Bottle from MoritzF. Thanks! Flowers, citrus and grape juice packed in the aroma. Clove, banana, flowers and citrusfruit in the flavor. Well made hefeweizen, both with drinkability and character. bigrond (1043), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA May 13, 2006 this beer was excellent. Nice ’spring fresh’ taste - crisp and spicy at the same time. This is a perfect example of it’s style stouby (1931), Holbaek, Denmark May 11, 2006 Bottle, at Delirium Cafe.
Golden, unclear, large white head. Moderate malty (coriander, citrus, heavy fruity), light hoppy. Flavor moderate sweet, light acidic/bitter. Light to medium body, low carbonated (almost flat). Really big! sliffy (1966), Columbus, Ohio, USA May 10, 2006 Bottle: Cloudy yellow, white head. Some bananas, bready, some cinamin possibly. Flavor was similar, really bright on the palate, a little chewy, and a nice dry finish. Very good beer.
