Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 3, 2006 I wondered what the heck a brau weisse was, but as soon as a tasted it I knew it was a hefe. Has a nice cloudy pale colour, taste is a bit spicy, had on tap, so didn’t get to do all the special pouring the description says, but still a decent hefe. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA Apr 3, 2006 Incredible hefe. Pours cloudy dark yellow with a puffy white head. Aroma of bananas and wheat. Very smooth and strong taste. Wheat, yeast, bananas, lemon, and citrus all mixed and balanced throughout. Highly recommended. doubleipa (224), Georgia, USA Apr 3, 2006 Great head and lacing. Great aroma of yeast and lemon. As is Taco Mac’s style, this was server waay too cold. After I let it warm up some the real wheat aroma came through. Taste is, of course, right on for this good example of a German Hefe. I was glad to see, at least, that the bartender didn’t put a lemon slice in the beer. This is a great beer to have on a hot, early summer day in Atlanta. kevin62 (267), New Jersey, USA Apr 2, 2006 This was poured from a 16oz bottle into a huge weizen glass. Its appearance was cloudy and yellow with a nice white head. The aromas of banana and wheat and lemon were awesome and seductive. Then the taste, which included all the aromas,as well as bubblegum made this beer a fantastic beer experience. beeaman (16), Portland, Oregon, USA Mar 26, 2006 Porurs smoothly w/ a thunk like good beer should. Huge golden to white head. Initial hoppy smell followed by fruits and cereal. Cloudy but not murky composition. Clear enough to see bubbles rising. Very prounouced sweet banana taste. Also some apricot, rich heavy cream, and fresh dough. Very appealing mouthfee. Smooth like a glass of cold milk. What little aftertaste there is, is very pleasant. Not the typical hefe, but very very good in it’s own right. TheEpeeist (1430), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 19, 2006 Updated: Apr 2, 2006Plastic sample cup at the Penn Museum. Wheat and spices. Beautiful, even in a little plastic cup. Taste is fresh grass, mild sweet citrus with a foamy body. Not as pasty-wheaty as other wittes I’ve had. Worth another try. 4/1/06 - Tried again and rated the same. Cloudy tea with a glacial head. Thick champagne with a full mouth. I like the way the citric carb cuts through the wheat body to make for easy drinkin’. FrankJohansen (3329), Sabro, Denmark Mar 18, 2006 Draught at Ayinger Speis and Trank. This must be the best hefeweizen around. Lots of aroma and taste, good palate and laaaasting finish. HenrikSoegaard (4264), Randers, Denmark Mar 17, 2006 Draugt at Ayinger Speis und Trank. Fantastic hefe. Creamy white excellent fully lasting head. Yellow cloudy colour. Very powerfull yeaty aroma, one of the best. Average citrus-finsh. A little watery compared to other good hefe.
