Commercial Description:
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Fruit (mostly banana) notes. Healthy head of micro-bubbles that persists. Nice light golden appearance with swirling yeast. Light bodied and a little flat with vanilla notes that linger.

I enjoyed this hefe quite a bit. It seems to balance its fruity banana and orange-esque flavors well with spices with no element overpowering the other. I do prefer hefes with more of a quick and a drier mouthfeel though.

Hazed gold, thick rocky white head. Nice soft nose of lemon, banana and pear, and lesser undercurrents of vanilla, white bread, and hints of wheat. Flavor is similar with light citrus, wheaty, and grassy tones up front, light fruity spice in the middle, and a very faint bitterness rounding this off. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, mild, drying citric finish. Good hefe for hot summer day in January. Thats right damn it, the 6th warmest January on record in Baltimore. Someone please send me some Siberian air so I can salvage my ski season!!

Pours a hazed tawny color w/ a full, semi creamy froth. Good hangtime. Aroma is brisk w/ mild notes of banana bread. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. This one tastes more like banana bread, has a crisp earthiness and a mild fruity character. The finish is slightly tart w/ an acidic bittering.

The aroma is a model of what a German Hefe should be. It has bananas, spice, incense, sour fruit, and wheat. The appearance is a hazy gold with a large head. The flavor is malty and fruity with an emphasis on bananas and citrus. There are also robust bitter and sour elements as well. The palate is typical of the style. The aftertaste is bread like and a little sweet but fairly dry for a Hefe.

Foggy, yellow. Dense, billowing white head transforms to swiss cheese before it settles. Aroma is wheat, yeast, lightly fruity. Same flavor, a bit of banana stands out. Simple but good. Wheasty finish and aftertaste. Medium, creamy body with refreshing carbonation. Aside from the timid aroma, an excellent wheat.

500 ml bottle. Hazy yellow as expected. Large head that lingered. Some banana and bubblegum in the flavor, but not as much as I had expected. A solid but not spectacular Hefe.

Wasn’t crazy about this one. Did not like the flavors of bubblegum and heavy yeast.
