Commercial Description:
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

yeasty aroma. hazy white beer with a a huge creamy head. spices and banana on palate. the strong yeast element adds to the complexity of this beer nicely although i enjoyed the Ur-Weisse a little more - 1/16/06 6/4/7/4/14.---re-rate---a pretty good banana, clove aroma. cloudy gold under a huge creamy rocky white head. flavors of banana, clove, and cream. creamy palate and medium bodied. i didn’t like it as much as weihenstephaner but still very enjoyable.

"WOW this beer poured a cloudy golden color. The lasting head was light and fluffy and large. Aroma was of bananas and citrus. Tasted much of the same. Only disapointing part was the mouthfeel, thin. Overall not bad."

What a delightful beer! Pours a pale banana yellow with a thick, fluffy white head. Smells of bread, banana, and yeast. Taste is very bready with hints of banana and citrus. Extremely smooth beer with a clean finish. RE-RATE: I still think this is an excellent wheat beer, one of the best, but I don’t really like wheat beers much anymore.

Allright, I’m in love - sort of This beer had such nice citrus and bananna flavors it was almost like drinking a Bannana-weiss. The only problem is the complexity prevents me from making this my everyday beer.

illini08 shared some of his 500ml bottle with me. poured a cloudy yellow with a big head. aroma and flavor was quite strong with cloves with some banana and lemon zest. a well done hefe, just way too much carbonation for my liking.

500 mL bottle. Poured a hazy yellow with a big, sustained white head. Strong aroma of clove, bananas, and citrus. Flavor was the same with some yeast as well. Tart finish. This hefe is right up there with Hacker-Pschorr’s and Weihenstephaner’s hefe-weiss beers as one of the best that I’ve had.

Draught. Hazy light yellow. It had a lacing with a rich white head. The aroma is fruity with a wheaty aroma. The flavour is fruity and has a flavour of wheat.

Pours a hazy golden yellow with a stiff creamy head. Strong aromas of vanilla and banana. The taste is light and refreshing, starting off with a lemon-orange citrus flavor and finishing with a mild but enduring sour fizz. This is truly one of the great Weisse beers.
