COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

1/2 liter bottle, 4 weeks dron rackin - I’ve sampled this, and other Ayinger beers, at beer festivals and tastings before and I’d rate this small independent Bavarian craft brewer to be one of the best in Germany (which is saying a lot) at consistently hitting the mark and exceeding the parameters and characteristics of the Teutonic beer styles. This particular Hefeweiss has all the bubble-gum, clove and banana esters and phenols in spades and the body and character of the beer is fairly robust for a wheat ale. Big fluffy cap, big flavour - deep fruitiness, some spice, low on noble hoppin but a nice malt mixture is evident without being cloying -, natural sparkling effervescence, quenching with a dry finish – a superior Hefe, if not the best.

Bright gold color whith great white head. Smells wheat and sweet. Taste very fresh, pepper and bitterness.

Cloudy golden pour with a fairly mountainous head that lasts significantly and leaves hints of lace down the glass. Lots of wheat on the nose with banana and spice. There’s a lot of bubblegum in there as well upon second sniff. I’m also getting some hints of oxidation as well. No best before or bottling date so it’s impossible to tell how old this bottle is. There’s a huge dose of banana on the palate mixed with some more subtle fruit notes. The spiciness isn’t as high as I might like and that hint of papery oxidation persists and there’s an added vanillan quality that wasn’t evident on the nose. Nice full round mouthfeel. I’d drink this again, even if it is a little old.

nice new bottles too - but it’s what’s inside that counts : creamy "average" top German Weisse. My fav since short (used to Maisel & Weihenstephaner). This one fits right in at the top of the German - Bavarian knowledge of beer brewing. 100%. And i’m belgian, so "i should know"...

Straw, hazy color, with a pillowy head. Fruit and grain in the smell. Hints of banana, clove, and bubble gum in the taste. Medium body. Very refreshing!

Beautiful color and nose and is a very refreshing and tasty Hefe. Banana and clove like no other. The brewery is outstanding and all their beers are top quality. No wonder they are the highest rated Bavarian brewery in the world!!

500ml bottle. Pours hazy good with a large soapy white head. Citrus aroma, white bread. Tastes of ripe banana. Soft at the beginning and a crisp swallow. Wonderfully refreshing. Clean finish.

Bottle, 0.50l, courtesy of CanCrusher. Cloudy pale golden color with large creamy white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of wheat, banana, yeast and herbs. Taste starts with moderate sweet grainy malt, following is refreshing citric acidity with spicy mouthfeel and light bitter finish. Medium body, oily texture and lively natural carbonation in palate. Very drinkable, one of the best hefeweizens...

Excellent beer. I have seen this in stores and have never gotten it and today was like "I like beer, I like heffeweizen..why am I not trying this" Best choice of the day. Pours hazy as Los Angeles and right off the bat we have banana, and other soft fruits followed by a pleasant sweetness. Beautiful pillowy head. Taste is unreal. Blast of banana, fruit, and a spiciness that follows. Tastes wonderful. Excellent beer, can’t go wrong this one. Prost!

Dorée avec une grande mousse blanche. L’arôme du blé, banane, levure et du pain fraîche. Le goût resemble l’arôme, avec une finition sec et carbonation moyenne. Très bonne.

Smells nice. Light and fruity. Greasy cloudy appearance. A very nice citrus flavor and quite wheaty for my taste yet it’s still excellent. Easy to drink.
