Commercial Description:
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Cloudy look, golden in color, and it has a a nice white head. The smell is yeast, wheat, lemon, citrus, and malts. The taste is about the same as the smell with a little floral thrown in .

Bottle at Hotel in Munich. Creamy yellow and full head. Fruity nose. Really creamy and smooth (almost Czech.) Sweet taste of citrus. Also spicy and prickly mouthfeel. Quite good.

Hazy golden in color with a medium large off white head. Aroma of banana, spice, light tart wheat and bready yeast. Taste is banana- on the lighter side of the style, some mild citrus, spices, bready yeast, tart wheat. Light to medium bodied with prickly carbonation. Finishes lightly tart. Nice hefe.

Everytime i see an Ayinger i can only think of,what a shame it is to tear that bottle cap off.It is by far the most artfull bottle cap i have encountered yet from any beer.Anyway here we go Cloudy straw color, small white head that faded quite quickly leaving a slight lacing on the sides.Malty sweet aroma with a mild yeastiness and a strong lemon grass smell.Mild to light medium spice as well.Sweet taste with a mild malt presence, mildly spice and very fruity with the fruit being in the lemon grass arena, with maybe some hints of banana, fairly strong carbonation, the after taste is mildly hoppy but definatley has a decent lemon tone to it with a little spice coming through at the tail end.A very nice brew thanks to Wawood for this one as well.

Nice carbonated feed to the head in this banana colored wheat beer. Beautiful aroma of fresh banana breeze. but the flavor was blase--a light mixture of banana and wheat--slightly bland, and a dissapointment. Re-rated: Golden wheat decent head. Nice whiff of yeast, banana, clove, and wheat. A good standard for the style. Body could use more effervescence. Overall 13-14.

Well not much to say about this one other than it is balanced and easy to drink. Great alone or with food. Often overlooked at the store, but should not be. Pick some up and see for yourself.
