Mmmmmm..beer that looks like chicken broth - solid thick goodness! More like a fresh squeezed juice (pinapple) but a bit on the brown side. Huge head that was poured didn’t last leaving no more than a ring - more than enough to constantly stick to the glass. Massive banana aroma smells just like the dehydrated candied ones taste, mild spices and a soft pleasant wheat puts it all together. Has a light tangy taste, soft bananas and a healthy ammount of yeast. Adequate carbonation leaves the tongue somewhat tingly with a soft, yeasty finish. Be warned though, this beer has an overall banana quality that can be a bit overpowering. highly drinkable even if it is a little too gassy.

Unflitered & golden in color. Large head. Aroma is overwhelmingly banana and clove. Taste is the same, but very smooth, refreshing and drinkable.

Bottle. Poured a very cloudy gold with a thick foamy white head that left little lacing, but floated on the beer as a considerable head. A sour lemony smell veiled a more hidden yeasty sweetness in the background. The flavor is sweet and fruity with a citrus tang to it. The finish is mildly bitter that does not linger but leaves your mouth watering with its tartness. Crisp, clean, and refreshing, thoroughly enjoyable.

Pours a hazey whiteish yellow with a real nice head and some lace. The aroma is yeasty, wheaty, ripe bananas, and a touch of clove spice. The flavor is clovey with a less developed banana flvavor as in others of the style. The flavor is nice and dry and quite refreshing. The palate is right for the flavor. Overall, this is a very good Hefeweizen that I will seek out as a summer beer.

All yeasty and yummy. Huge and lasting head. Very fruity and piney notes. Robust for its looks. Easy too drink for such a complex beer.

Light and sparkling with a banana and musty yeast nose. When someone says Hefewiezen, this is the beer I think of. Lightly cloudy yellow with a thick white head an light banana malt body, this brew is the perfect hot-weather brew. Spicy clove aftertaste.

Get some spice,wheat and yeast in the aroma.Pours a copper color with a big off white head.Get some lemon with some sweetness in the flavor.Nice carbonation with some sweetness in the finish.

This is a superb hefe! Absolutely perfect for the blazing summer days. Had on draught at Blues BBQ in Charleston, WV. Beautiful cloudy opaque deep straw pour. It has a 3-finger head that lasts for great retention and leaves frothy lace. Sweet banana, some vanilla and slight clove to the nose. There are mounds of banana and wheat flavors, with the finish really drawing in strong cloves. The wheat, fruit and spice integration is almost unparalleled. The carbonation level mixes with a silky mouthfeel to bring a perfectly contrasting zest to the palate. For the dog days of summer, this may be one of the world’s best German hefe’s. (Formerly, this was my favorite style, and I’ve certainly had my share of them. This offering is "par excellence".) Prost!
