Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

I always get excited about opening up a Ayinger beer. Cloudy lemon-honey color pour with a frothy white head. Good looking beer. Aroma is banana pudding, clove, slightly floral, hints of citrus. Peppery and slightly sour on the front, followed strongly by banana, sugar cookie, and clove. Delicious. This beer is not going to last long. Makes me wish I would have bought more. Definitely one of the best if not the best Hefe Weizen I’ve tried.

Bottle from Liviko Alcostore in Tallinn harbour (€ 2,19). Pours a hazy pale yellow with a big off-white top that drops slowly. Nose - nice wheat with vanilla-banana-lemon (biscuits). Taste equally nice, accompanied by the rather crisp carbonation. Somewhat sticky texture, dry finish. Body on the lighter side of medium. Pretty good. (But also boring and conventional.)

The body has an orange/yellow color with a cloudy haze and some visible carbonation. On top I got a thick and creamy off white head. It is long lasting and makes slick lace ring which slowly slide down the sides of the glass. The aroma has notes of sweet bubble gum and banana peel with just a light touch of wheat malt. The flavor is not as sweet as the aroma foreshadowed. Tangy wheat meets the tongue first with a light clove banana yeast notes following. A touch of citrus and spicy/leafy hops leads into the finish which is crisp and fairly dry. The firm medium body has plenty of active carbonation give it a lively snappy texture.

Light retention and no lacing. Smells of banana, spices and yeast. Tastes of yeasty malt, banana and creamy wheat. No aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Cloudy pale yellow liquid. Medium body and carbonation. Strong banana aroma. Medium to heavy sweetness. Taste of grains and overripe bananas. Even I don’t prefer sweet overripe bananas, I like that taste in this beer. A hint of vanilla. Very good one. Liked it very much.

Excellent classic weizen. Refreshing but tasty. Traditional weissbier taste with banana and bread flavours. Top 3 I’ve had in classic weizen category so far!
