COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2009 Beer from Gilly’s. I am a fan of hefeweizens..and wow, this is one good beer. Sweet aroma, nice hazy appearance for a hefeweizen. Taste is exactly what a hefeweizen should be. I need to go back and get more of this beer. Update: Had a draft of this beer at Pizza Paradiso on 11/06/09 - this beer is better as a bottle.

Another classic Hefe and one that I will stock when I see it again. Much better than this is hard to find in a Hefe.

16.9 oz. bottle- Pours cloudy golden with a nice two finger head and carbonation bubbles up the ass, beautiful beer. Aroma has a strong lemony spice to it, very wheaty and yeast is abundant. The flavor is yeast, lemon, clove, spice, all the good trademarks of the style, but what grabs me is the smooth creamy vanilla flavor, I think this is up there with Weihenstephaner, tasty tasty stuff.

Has a nice sweet lemony wheat and banana aroma. Creamy head. Feels very zesty on the tongue. Very refreshing with just enough bitterness to not be offensive. Has a nice clean finish. Color is a milky yellow with a hint of gold. Has a creamy mouth feel.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2011 Aroma: Citrus hops with strong banana. Appearance: Cloudy gold with frothy white head. Taste: Heavy sweetness with a hint of sourness at the end. Palate: Medium body with a creamy texture, lively carbonation and long finish. Overall: It’s a hands down, gold standard brau-weisse.

500ml bottle. Pours cloudy, a great true hefe with one of the smoothest finishes I have ever enjoyed.

fresh lemon, young banana and dry wheat blend for a lucious complex aroma. 4 finger head of medium bubbles took a long time to subside and left nearly no lacing though the array of golden hues in the glass made up for that. sweet with a wildflower/herbal foundation that finishes a hint tart and dry. the best hef i’ve ever had.

I could certainly get used to this brew. Poured cloudy with a thick white head. Flavor was thick on the wheat side with a touch of citrus. If I had another, I would be drinking it now!
