Commercial Description:
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Pale, straw-yellow colour. Stale, bready, yeasty, slightly candyish aroma. Mellow banana flavour. A little spritzy. A classic German weiss.

Gargantuan rocky white head atop a cloudy, light golden body. Typical apple-banana and cloves aroma, although the earthy graininess often associated with this style is not so prevalent. Smooth and tasty, the well-rounded citric, banana-walnut flavor is complemented by a rich maltiness. Lacking the depth of some better wheats beers, the finish is quick, tart and mildy sweet.

Very nice but a bit too carbonated. A little light for the style but very refreshing.

Not as good as I had hoped. DrunkAsASkunk has the description on this one down perfect. Not a bad beer by any means, but nothing special.

Deep golden color, hazy but not quite cloudy, good initial head that dissipates quickly, lasting carbonation. aroma is spice/banana. Flavor retains the spice and banana notes, and adds citrus, more tart than bitter. Very good overall for a wheat beer.

Fairly dry for a wheat beer, although not the ’brut’ that the commercial description claims. Lingering spice, although, as Volgon says, too thin in the finish. Stick with the Ayinger Ur-Weisse if you crave wheat beer from Aying.

Pale standard German wheat beer appearance, with a slightly citric bitter aroma. Bitter and slightly orange juice flavour. Overall a very pleasant beer.
