COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2004 This beer looks fantastic with its large foamy frothy white goodness of a head [ein sehr grosses Schaum]. The head does not remain long [dauert nicht so lange], but the flavour is so mild and pleasant and refreshing that you do not care so much. Its appearance is of a cloudy, thick, creamy opaqueness, a light golden. Ovreall, a positively delightful brew, not overpowering or offensive, but completely compliant, tasting of vanilla, bending and willing to quench your beer-thirsty desires, to satiate your ever-expanding beerthirst [Bierdurst]. This beer ranks with Oberdorfer as oen of the best Weissbiers I have had. "Even the burp tastes good. Holy crap [heilige Scheisse]."

Pours light golden with medium head. Medium opacity due to a balanced amount of yeast. Fairly muted aroma, fresh taste. Good, but nothing special.

Pours cloudy golden with a huge white head and a banana and lemon aroma. There is a carbonated wheat flavor, very herbal and fruity, with a tasty yeast presence. Everything one would want in a wheat beer.

0,5l bottle from Csakajósör, Budapest. Cloudy, pale orange color with medium, creamy, white head. Yeasty, fruity odor with citrus and some banana. First the flavour of the wheat appears in the aroma. Later the yeast dominant with citrus, flowers, fruits, some banana and plum. Light bitter-sweet, typical Hefeweizen taste. Medium body with creamy texture an average carbonation. Yeasty finish with some wheat. Complex, deicious wheat beer. Very good, but not better than other premium category Hefeweizens, like Weihenstephaner, Schneider, Erdinger.

Bottle by 11.12. Big estery nose with only slightly fewer phenols for balance. Very bright and fresh. Hazy orange body with a creamy, rocky white head. Crisp, fresh medium body, nice mineral content with restrained fruit. Semi-dry, bare vanilla in with strong lemon, some mild bready yeast with volume. Pretty textbook, and it would take quite a string of failures to convince me that Ayinger isn’t one of the more competent breweries in the world.

Really like this but I like Hefeweizens, pours a hazy yellow with a generous head that dissipates, aroma is citrus, yeast, with citrus being prominent on the taste front too, feel good on the palate with a smooth carbonation, very enjoyable.
