COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Celebrator has a creamy head of tight bubbles contrasting beautifully with its profound dark robe. It is full-bodied and velvety from half a year’s aging. Although it is strong, it is not overpowering. There is a wonderful and complex balance between the various malts, the alcohol and the subtle hops. A complex fruitiness of roasted malt and whole hop flowers make Celebrator great as a party drink with friends and family at celebrations. Despite its richness, it has a faintly smoky dryness in the finish.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is dark fruits, roasted malts. Taste is raisins, dry chocolate, something ashy yet creamy. A wonderfully rich yet completely session-able concoction. A go-to German beer.

Deep brown color, almost black with creamy head. Aroma is sweet caramel, brown sugar, fresh danish rugbrød. Taste is medium sweet. Brown sugar, raisins, dark fruits and some spices. A bit grassy bitterness in the finish. Soft carbonation, full bodied and smooth. Would be great as a winter warmer.

Bottle, backlog. Pours dark brown with four fingers compact beige foam slowly dissipating, leaving some lacings. Aroma is fruit, mostly dried, banana, dark chocolate, hints of liquorice and some floral bitter hops. Above all very malty. Taste is elegantly malty and round without being thick as a porter/stout, dried fruit, unsweetened chocolate, a subtle bitterness. A slight smokey hint in the finish. Full body, soft carbo, smooth texture. This is fucking ace. Extremely well balanced throughout.

I’m not a huge doppelbock fan, but this one is really good. It pours dark, chocolate brown with a head that disappears quickly. The aroma is caramel, coffee, candied fruit. It all adds up to a smell that is something like Dr. Pepper. The flavor adds a really rich, chocolate malt at the finish. This beer is sweet, but not too sweet. It’s just right.

Bottle to shaker glass. Pours black (red shines tough when held to light), two finger head, some lacing. Aroma of ripe dark fruits, coffee, smoke. Taste is malty bittersweet, not much hop bitterness. Full bodied, medium carbonation, smooth malty mouth feel. Finishes quite dry with note of dark chocolate, smoked malts and caramel. Best beer I’ve tasted for this style.
